I'm not getting ahead of Detroit b/c I think they will play us tough...

But Denver will attack Ware on rollouts and reach blocks and Sweeps as well as Ellis...

IMO Ware has fallen off the last few games and Ellis has been nowhere to be found. These guys will be challenged big time.

We need a healthy Henry as well

Almost every pass Denver throws is off a roll out.

You are right.

I'm thinking we shouldn't even bother showing up for that game.

We are obviously screwed. Good call. Since it's such a lost cause, we shouldn't even bother with it.

Have you watched Ellis the last few games?

I agree in how Denver is going to attack Dallas. That shouldn't come as a surprise. All the ends and linebackers need to be ready when that game comes around. The young guys need to be ready to get off those cut blocks

Their success is based on their ability to protect the QB. Plummer has had ample time to throw the ball. Good receivers will get open when given time. Rod Smith is still a good receiver and Lelie is a good athlete and burner. Their running game really opens things up for the passing game.

I agree, Denver has ran the ball more than they have passed the ball this year and are having a lot of success doing it. That will be key for Dallas to stop Denver's running attack.

Ware had a strong game in the Arizona game. I admit its not inspiring to see a sudden vulnerability to the run this close to playing the broncos but we'll see whats up after the lion game. The d-line did seem flat against philly but the sucked it up and didnt collapse on us, there are just games like that in the season. I'm expecting a strong turn around. I think the rookies are having to get past a wall of playing longer than they ever had before (Pettiti mentioned this already after a game) and once they're through it we'll see progress again.

I'm really concerned about that. We had a really hard time stoppin PHI and their running game. I mean they had nothing the whole season. Denver can flat out run the ball. Very close to pittsburgh. I like our chances, especially if we get a W with Detroit. we will be coming in with a nice BoOst!!

Nothing better than an inspired Cowboy Team...BRING IT!

Come on guys, the Eagles ran hard last night and caught us napping early as we expected them to do nothing but pass.

Sure Denver is a good running team but they are also not as good a team away from Denver as they are in Denver. It will be tough but our defence will come through.

You guys are also forgetting that they have to stop our offence too.

Last night, my observations were a bit different. I thought Philly whipped us inside. I thought that the vulnerability was because of the success they had running between the tackles. Backs were able to bounce out because we were caught over compensating to the inside. I don't worry about Denver's OL so much. When we have problems, it's because we get physically over matched. Denver's OL is quick using technique rather then physical superiority. I believe our DL is quicker. We will see how succesful they are against it. I believe we will play much better against them if we arent' to warn out.

That's the key to the game. :)

Its important to look at the season as a whole instead of over-reacting to one game. We've also shutdown LT and Shaun Alexander. I'm not ready to declare our run defense a liability.

We are undersized on the DL at the moment, especially when Glover is playing the nose. Getting outmuscled is a real possiblity, and the Eagles have the hosses to do it. You won't find many OL's in the league bigger than Philly's. The reason they haven't run the ball as well previously have to do with Westbrooks dislike of all things between the tackles. I don't see Denver being able to shove our guys around as badly. At the Meadowlands against the Giants the next week, that's another story.

Dallas gave up ONE long TD drive...opening drive

Then gave up another TD with a short field... gift INT and approx. 20 yds to end zone...

Second half Dallas gave up only 2 FGs, as well as giving up lots of run yardage...

Saying all that... I'm not that worried...

I think the reason for the DL being flat is because of the bye week and Parcells took it too easy overall on the entire team, most everybody looked flat. I agree though that Denver will attack us with the boot and the great combination of Anderson and Bell but i also expect us to play much better against the run and make it tough on the Broncos to run it. Should be a great game between the two teams and it will be a real tough one

To expand this thread we know Denver is a very aggressive blitzing team like Philly so our o-line will have to be a heck of a lot better in pass protection than Monday's game. In run blocking too for that matter.
This is not panic here or overreaction, its just pointing out Denver likes to be aggressive with their D like Philly's which we had problems with. Can anyone here give a godd evaluation of Denver's DBs. Philly relies on their DBs to get by one on one while they blitz, I know Denver has Champ Bailey but can the other corners cover on an island. Maybe more importantly are their safetys top quality like Philly's?

My roommate is a Bronco's fan, so I follow them a little.
I'm quite suprised with how their defensive line is playing with our scrubs like Myers and Ekuban. The only player to worry about on there line is Trevor Pryce. Their DB's seem average to me. Champ Bailey has been beat a lot this year, but he has also been injured most of the year. The other corners seem average. Their safeties arent anything special. Lynch is a good tackler/blitzer, but not so good in coverage as he has lost some of his speed.

I will be there behind the goal post on our side sporting my new Spears jersey, my wife will be wearing Julius Jones, and my brother in law will be wearing Demarcus Ware. If it doesn't rain we'll be holding up a sign that says, "Put us in Coach."

So at least there will be some back up if need be:laugh1:
