Deonte Thompson / Noah Brown

Guys trying to make the team, got to stay healthy. He is a big strong WR though. 6’2 225 Like a poor mans Dez,and we need one of those. I won’t hold my breath, missing too much camp time hurts young players like that. But you never know...others can get injured,or not play as expected and he ends being help later on. Kinda like his physicality....not pushing him around that’s for sure.

Very raw player when we got him. A year on IR is probably good for us.

They are likely to take him off IR at some point this year; otherwise they would not have used a 53 man roster spot on him before moving him to IR.

But we lose the 4th round pick for Htichens if we bring back DThompson

It hasn't happened yet and I hope it doesn't

Just keep NBrown game day inactive for a couple weeks and see if any other injuries happen

Neither Thompson nor Brown is worth losing a 4th over

Why would that be the case?

Having the option to bring him back and actually bringing him back are two different things. Ask Rico.

They left themselves the option. Options are always good, even if you hope not to use them. Unless we have a lot of injuries at WR, I don't see Brown getting back to the roster from IR.

If we bring DThompson back then we lost 2 FAs and signed 2 FAs ..... that means we don't a pick

You have to lose more than you sign and Butler and Cooper got waived so they no longer count as players lost

We signed- Flemming and Thompson
We lost- Hitchens and Wilber

I think the comp pick offset is nullified once Thompson was cut.

Free agents signed after May don't count against comp picks.

It wasn't since DThompson was a vested vet he didn't go thru waivers

Since DAL resigned him he stays on the books as a qualifying Comp FA

Teams could just waive a player for a day and agree to resign them to manipulate the system if they aren't exposed to waivers

They could always cut DThompson later and get the Hitchens pick back
