Wasn't he originally projected as a 3rd or 4th rnd? Well now they are thinking he might go to Oakland with the 5th pick. Wow! I know that I was kinda wanting him in the 4th because of his huge arm but no way would I take him in the 1st.... Just wow!

i said 2 months ago that i think 4 QBs go in rd 1, maybe in the top 15

this is great news for us because if one of those top 4 guys is sitting there at 16, either we can get a great trade down deal or just take him. i dont htink i would take Carr at 16 but would take bridgewater if he is there

I can't wrap my brain around him or Manziel for that matter. He is just so small boned. I would be scared to death the first time he gets buried by an NFL sized and speed dlinemen. That's just an awful high pick for someone who might not last 2 years... Just too much risk not enough reward because he DOESN'T have elite skills.

i think that he is the most complete NFL QB in this draft
he has run a very efficient pro style offense for years
he seems mature and does not take a lot of hits (unlike RG3) and looks to throw first with very good anticipation (which is the sign of an NFL QB)
he was felt to be the best QB going into this season, the best QB at teh end of the season but suddenly after a somewhat subpar proday he is not worthy of being a top 15 pick? not buying it

BUT, if he is there, i would not mind a trade down at all

whichever team he goes to If I was him I would make the GM and Owner sign in blood that they will indeed make having a good O line a top priority. I think his brother could have been a decent QB if he had not been traumatized by 200 sacks and an extra 200 hits his first 4 years.

I don't know that Oakland will take a QB now after trading for Schaub, but that would have been good for us.

I don't think Carr has been a 3rd or 4th round for a while. The obvious projection has been to the Browns with their 2nd 1st they got from the Colts. And if not there there's no way he gets past whichever team passed on QB in the top 10 of the 2nd round. Carr going top 15 overall would be great for us though. Forces 1 more guy down to 16....hopefully Barr or Donald.

I don't see anything wrong with a team taking him in the top half of the first. He's a natural passer, and he has the physical tools to become a franchise QB. I think he can use more polish from the mental standpoint of playing the position, and it'd be a mistake to throw him out there before he's ready... But there's a lot to like about him.

Matt Schaub shouldn't keep anyone from drafting a QB, but then again they ARE the Raiders.

True. But it would stand to reason that if you can get Matt McGloin to play well as a rookie, a top-5 pick should be a walk in the park.

always liked carr and see him as a late first, early 2nd guy...not for us...I would prefer to roll the dice on Murray in the 4th or later (if he lasts based on his injury)

Hopefully Cleveland goes in a opposite direction at pick 4 and they feel compelled to move up to secure Carr or whoever. We could probably pull an extra 3rd & 4th off in that move down.

Im starting to think Manziel will drop to Dallas. IDK how i would feel about that right now. But id put money on it that Dallas would draft him

I would be sick if that happened....the weird thing is that if one of the other QB's were there, I could almost see drafting them (like bridgewater)...TB would not be the distraction that Manziel would be...the second romo throws a pick, the media would be screaming for manziel...the noise would be deafening...not so much with any other rookie QB...of course, my real reason for not wanting him is t hat I don't believe him to be an NFL-caliber QB...he will look good for a game or two, but his game just does not translate to the speed of the NFL defenses...and, if he tries to run, he will get planted like RG3 did...

Any QB drafted in RD1 is going to be a distraction. Manziel is a complete QB. He's what the nfl is trending to, but unlike Wilson he a very good passer. I like him as a QB just dont know how id feel about Dallas drafting him having Romo. If They did draft Manziel im sure Dallas would cut Romo next yr. Big Cap hit but sill frees up cap, and with the way the cap is raising cutting Romo isnt as big a deal as it was preTV deals

I hope to God it doesn't come to any of that...I just don't see Manziel and his 5'11" being a good NFL QB...so if we dump a very good QB in favor of this media-hyped kid, then we are setting ourselves up to fail (again) as an organization...IMO, they would be drafting him because it is "entertaining", not because he would be the BPA or even a need of this team...

I'm not sold on Murray. I'm tired of small body, weak armed qb's. I want a qb that can throw a receiver open down field instead of them having to come back to the ball and getting tackled. I love Romo. Don't take it wrong. I don't believe we win half of what he have if we don't have him but it would be nice to get someone that can throw it downfield consistently.

perhaps "media embellished" or "media enhanced" would be better...he has played well in college, not arguing that...but, he is an ESPN darling, they do love their headlines...so, every time he takes a crap, we know about it...if in Dallas, that will be even worse, and that is what scares me...that Jones makes a decision based on entertainment and headlines and not on winning...I just don't see him as a winner in the NFL...
