A little too early to be reading into what Dr. Jerry Jones says about Dez's injury. We have a little less than two weeks until the Giants game, that's a lot of healing time for a broken foot that has already had 4 weeks of healing.

how I see this is Dez needs to be practicing by next Wednesday full speed to make it into Giants game.

Right now he has no RAC Witten, a number 2 1/2 Williams, and a tiny chain mover Beasley to work with. Two of these guys create no space in an already crowded box. You cant always make lemonaide out of lemons.

Sure you can. But if you don't add other crucial ingredients, it's just going to leave you with a sour taste in your mouth.

Drafting a WR in the 1st would be interesting if we hit on an elite guy like Dez, but that's not really necessary... I'd probably rather have sign a veteran WR who could contribute more right away... We need a RB at some point, but not in the 1st... When Romo is playing, the team usually doesn't have that much trouble scoring a reasonable amount of points. The problem is usually the defense, so I would draft almost exclusively on that side of the ball. I don't know if there will be any Safeties worth drafting in the 1st, but we've been in desperate need of Safety help for about a dozen or more years now...

Drafting a QB in the 1st would be pretty dumb... Romo has a few good years left in him, and he's freakin' awesome, so when exactly would this other QB play? We need players to help the team win NOW! We're real contenders with Romo at the helm! This is not time for rebuilding... We already have a QB who has been playing some of the best football the NFL has ever seen, now is the time to hurry to do everything you can to surround him with what he'll need to lead you to a championship... It is NOT time to worry about life after Romo, now is the time to put every egg we've got into the Romo basket... Our team is good enough where we have the luxury of going BPA at many different positions, but we do not have the luxury of throwing away a first-round pick on a QB who won't play for years, even if he's pretty good...

1. FS/SS
2. DT
3. CB
4. RB
5. DE
6. LB
7. OT
8. WR
9. OG
10. QB

Something like that...
