Just at six sacks per season, he's an upgrade to the production we got from left end last year. Some fans think it's all about getting studs in FA, but the best way to improve is to upgrade what you have/had. We might have a hard time doing that with Murray, but the rest of what we've lost is definitely upgradeable.

exactly, and what the negative nancys also dont realize is that this kid is only 26 years old and already has 3 6 sack seasons, NOT easy for a youngster. Who's to say Rod can't coach him up and turn him into the DE Tenessee thought he would be when they drafted him in the first round?

Give me this guy and Hardy (not instead of Hardy, but in addition to him) and I think the pass rush improves by leaps and bounds, especially once you factor in the growth we should expect from Crawford and Lawrence.

The deal’s worth a a maximum of $30 million over four years, with a base value of $27 million and $10.5 million guaranteed.

He's right. It's a done deal with the Titans. I'm now officially disappointed with our off-season, Sheard and Morgan were the guys I wanted most to add to the dline rotation. Hardy is a pipe dream.

Wow, so much money getting thrown around for a guy like this and Orakapo and Odrick, if you gotta over pay Hardy at this point you have to. There isn't anyone else out there worthy of a contract over a couple of million besides Hardy. We gotta pay this guy.

Yep. With those contract numbers, there's little chance we are in on Hardy.

Any additions to our anemic pass rush will have to come from the draft. Oy.
