I think maybe we should seriously think about, signing this guy.He is more accurate and is able to throw in tighter spots than that of Henson.
Competition wise,I would have to say that it is about even, and Clint Dolezel has less room to maneuver around than that of Henson. This guy has a rocket arm and is deadly accurate.
But then again,if they showed the flagfootball games at our local church games,i bet all the fans would be saying how great of a prospect our paster would have been if he would have just tried out.
We as fan need to stop grasping on straws that Henson is going to pan out.You guys are starting to sound like the old Steeler's fans who said,"Just give Kordell Stewart a few more years to develope".I honetly feel that Kordell Stewart would be a better Cowboys prospect than that of Henson.
It's nice to watch somebody from the cowboys play football, but I would much rather watch Irvin pretend to play ball again(Longest Yard),than sit threw an NFLE game and watch Henson struggle.
It is apparent that Parcell's knows that this guy can't play ball.I noticed in the Bears game, that he put Vinny in to secure the deal and get the win.
Then you guys wanna say I am giving up on the guy(Which I allready did)after one game.Well let me say this,"I seen enuff to get my take on this guy and he's terrible".Remember guys,he's the one who gave up on football and you can't teach and old dog new tricks

That's what I love about this board. Not only is it good for breaking news, and good solid football opinions, but there is always a post that just cracks me up first thing in the morning.:lmao2:

I don't know if he could make it in the NFL, but I give you one thing.........Dolezel has been much more fun to watch...........as a Professional Athlete (than Henson) in the past 7 years.

His arm strenght is comparable to Kurt Warner. The guy can flat out sling the ball. He threw... I think 11TDs  in a game last month.

Plus he gets cool points for being Dan Campbell's cousin;).

He'd have to really special before he got a look. He's been in the AFL for 10 years and I don't think he's ever got a shot in the NFL. He'd also have to clear waivers before the Cowboys had a chance to sign him.

I'd be intrigued if they brought Dolezel into camp, I'll almost guarantee he'd flourish in the 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills, but I'd havemy reservations when the real bullet start flying.

ps. Don't worry about the responses. Its a feisty crowd:p:

You too, my friend, will experience the wrath of the Henson backers. They are fierce and are assembling for a strike.

:shoot3: :shoot3:

But, with that said and being one who isn't completely sold on Henson, I did like his game last weekend. His passing percentage might not have been up there, but he was solid. If he continues to play solid football, I would love to see him under center.

I just hope this isn't a "lesser league" blip on the radar.

You DO know that since JJ owns the Desperados, this guy would have to pass waivers by ALL the other teams in the NFL before the Cowboys can sign him? You do know that, right?

That means that if Dallas signs him it's in spite of the fact that every other team in the league thinks he's not worth looking at? You do know that, right?

You might as well scout the local Pop Warner teams for palyers before you scout the Desperados. You would have a better chance of actually getting someone signed. Not that the Deserados are a bad team, it's just that the NFL really stacked the deck against JJ on this move.

You noticed that huh?

Well, I gotta tell you; not only is that breaking news... but the majority of the posters here had that little factoid slip right by them. We all thought Henson had finished and couldn't understand why Parcells didn't let Drew finish out the season.
