I dont see it as a ploy because it cant help going into negotiations with your team thinking u want out.
Story is he wants to be reunited with Shanahan (and SF needs a qb)
If Washington does trade Cousins to SF and we release Romo they definitely will have an interest

If San Francisco and Washington set up a trade, which Washington would be crazy to accept unless he goes to Danny and tells him he wants out.

Dont see him going anywhere tbh. He is a very good QB capable of playoff runs. Why trade him just to roll the dice

2nd year of tagging Cousins....so next year he'd be unrestricted and free. Theyd get nothing for him.
He will leave if they keep him tagged vs giving him a long term deal. Most players despise the 2nd tag.
