There is not one perfect fit, but to me the Broncos seem most likely. They have a youngster waiting in the wings and something tells me they are not tied to Siemian. If Denver trades Siemian to a QB needy, non contending team I could see them bringing in Romo easily. Plus they are a SB contender which I think would be high on Tony's priority list. No way is he going to the Cleveland Browns.

Also, very weird seeing him in all those different jerseys.

Nice. I like how they put the uniforms on in scroll down.

I think someone would bite on a trade maybe a 2nd round pick.

Maybe a 3rd round pick and could move up tied to the team final finish on the season.

Cool presentation.
Not sure I fully agree with how they rate the chances, but it's not like I know any more than they do.

I keep coming back to Houston, again and again.

They've got a great defense in place already.

They've got a good running back in Lamar Miller.

A top 10, possibly top 5 receiver in Hopkins, with young talent around him.

An emerging TE in Fiedorowicz.

And an offensive line with some decent pieces in place, including Nick Martin, whose rookie season was lost to injury.

And they have the money right now to afford both the Osweiler mistake and Romo.

The question is, do they want to waste another year with a quarterback that can't take them anywhere? Because they can't keep this talent together forever and the window only stays open so long.

Every time I look at it, they become the clearer and clearer choice in my mind.

I just hope he goes to the AFC. I wish him luck, but definitely don't wish him the same kind of luck Peyton Manning had.

I've been saying the same thing for months. Makes too much sense. Three other big factors close to home, AFC, and a lousy winnable division.

Btw I want picks for him.

Houston, Arizona or stay in Dallas seem like the most likely.

Does anyone see any chance that Dallas would let him start for one more year and then retire with Witten? Sell it as Dak is the future, but Tony can execute at a higher level right now, while Dak continues to learn the fine details. I'm thinking no way, but Jerry can be quite the salesman and it would get a lot of media play.

at this pt i just find keeping romo problematic. lets say he stays and is our starter plays 2 games gets injured and is out for a month. Dak comes in and continues to play well like this year. u really want that cycle again? dak or romo? i think its time to move on.

I said weeks ago a dozen would be interested......giving him away for nothing would be incredibly foolish.......like tearing up a 1st round pick and helping Tony's new team instead of the Cowboys

I'd like to get something , considering how good of a quarterback someone else is getting.

I've looked into the proposed JJ Watt thing with Houston, and based on the numbers it looks like something they couldn't do, even if they wanted to (and based on his back issues, they might).

But if they felt they couldn't afford him long term, they might do something with Clowney, though we'd likely have to trade Romo and significant draft resources to them.

If not, I'd take a draft pick for him, although I don't expect it to be a high pick, much less picks plural.

I've seen rookie speculate he'd garner a conditional sixth or fifth. Which is insane and not representative of the QB market at all.

Decent read, I don't think it's anything that hasn't been said on these boards already.

http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/st...omo-tracking-every-possible-landing-spot-2017

Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins
New England Patriots
New York Jets
Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs
Los Angeles Chargers
Oakland Raiders

Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants
Philadelphia Eagles (Won't happen but Romo 100x better than Wentz)
Washington Commanders
Chicago Bears
Detroit Lions
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
New Orleans Saints
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Arizona Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle Seahawks

My thoughts:
Chicago seems like a good option. IIRC they have a good OL now.

Niners have some talent but no QB. Shanahan's father was a fan of Romo.

Houston would be perfect if Osweiler's salary was not guaranteed for 2017.

Denver would be good, but Elway is doubtful to give up much if anything in a trade.

AZ definitely a good team. Seems like a great fit if Palmer retires.

Jets ?

Bills ?

Yes, I'm sure that more than 1 team will be interested. Romo could make some of those teams instant contenders. Houston made it to the playoffs while benching their starter for a period of time and without Watt. Adding Romo with Watt returning could make them serious Super Bowl contenders.

Teams would probably like to offer a conditional pick, but that would mean the pick is in 2018. The Cowboys should push for a 2017 pick. They could ask for a 3rd in 2017 and a conditional pick in 2018 based on Romo staying healthy.

All I want to know is that Jerry is putting the Boys first in this situation. Romo has made and earned his money. But him leaving w/out our FO exhausting all options on him will tick me off. Jerry can't be the soft-hearted friend here. Football is business. If Romo has value via trade, whether via restructure of salary and then trade, or other mechanisms, we need to do it rather than cutting him and giving him to another team for free. Hell, keep him on the bench for another year behind Dak. By the time we pay for another solid backup QB, we don't gain a ton of room in salary cap space anyway. Just promise me, Jerry, that this isn't going to be a good ole boy deal to let Romo walk w/out remuneration of some sort. Cowboys are number 1, not our exiting players.

I love it how, for the last 10 years Romo with the cowboys was a joke. Nobody wanted him, he was a choker... RG3 and Joe Flaco are way better than Romo. Now you got all these teams wanting Romo and all the fans who said this crap are just going to stay quiet and act like they never said it.

If DAL is going to take teh full 19.6m cap hit by making a pre-June 1st trade then it better be for a very good one..........like you said multiple picks, one this year and a conditional pick next year

Otherwise I would wait until the season drew near and teams get really desperate like MINN did
