Destiny of Superstition?

We all talk about our silly little rituals to prepare for the game in hopes that by doing this helps our team win the game. My Viking fan buddy said that they will win today because they have destiny on their side. Vikings fans have a huge lead in winning the tempt destiny billboard for their team's Super Bowl bid.

The history is, "Each time a Tempt Destiny billboard is created the team on it goes on to win the Super Bowl!"

My understanding is that this ONLY happens when it is suppose to happen. That's why there has only been 3 billboards over the past 20 some years. The weird thing is that the billboard is solely created for the outcome, and nothing else. Case in point, the artist finishes the billboard painting only after the team wins the Super Bowl by painting the football silver. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that billboards win Super Bowls, that WOULD BE STUPIDSTITION.

So my question is, can destiny be chosen as they say OR is this more about superstition?

Oh yeah, the Vikings have 63,051 votes to our 30,016 votes.

Destiny is preordained. The outcome has already been decided. Any attempt to influence destiny by wearing the lucky socks or voting for a billboard is superstition.

Having said that... we create our own destiny. The team that blocks and tackles the best will achieve the destined outcome. No matter which socks we wear.

Unless of course the whole thing is fixed then blocking, tackling or lucky socks won't mean a thing.
