Many people equate the Cowboys and the Yankees.

It's off topic, but one of the reasons I can't stand baseball any more is that a few teams get to have payrolls that far exceed the rest. I know the experts say "look at who has been in the playoffs lately" but the truth is a small number of teams have a huge competitive advantage over the rest.

I am tickled to death that the Yankees were beaten...but they'll buy their way back to the post season next year.

i am very happy to see the yanks knockeds out AGAIN. the highest payroll in all of sports(right?) taken out in the 1st round.

plus, goes to show what a good coach/manager can do to a sports franchise.

you know pre player Real Madrid had a higher pay roll, but since there are more players in a baseball team than a soccer team its higher for the yanks than real

This is true. A lot of people who hate the Yankees are jealous of their historical success and many of them feel the same way about the Cowboys. When my neighbor found out I was a Cowboys fan, he asked "Do you like the Yankees too?" They think we're just front runner fans.

I would love to see "The Boss" dismantle the Yankees.

Starting with A-rod.
A-Rod has a no-trade clause, unless he wants to leave he's going nowhere.

He just said he would leave if the Yankees wanted to get rid of him bad enough.

No trade clauses are put into contracts so players can't be traded to the likes of the Royals and so on, against their will.

He also said he was happy in Texas and didn't want to leave, then when the mikes were turned off he and Boras went all-out to work a trade to Boston.

Trust me, I'm a Rangers fan. I know all about no-trade clauses burning you...Kenny Rogers used his no-trade clause to block a trade to Cincinatti, Juan Gonzalez used his no-trade clause to block a trade to Kansas City (And back then they were in contention), Rafael Palmerio used his no-trade clause to block a trade to the Cubs (twice), Larry Walker (With the Rockies) used his no-trade clause to block a trade here back in 04 when we were contending and A-Rod told Tom Hicks back in late 03 that he would involke his no-trade clause unless he was traded to either the Red Sox or the Yankees. It was the main reason we got screwed in the trade with the Yanks...and the examples above were from a 4 year period, have I mentioned how much I hate no-trade clauses???

Then again, NY media can put enough pressure on a player to warrant them wanting out, whereas the media here isn't as harsh.
