I apologize if this has been posted. Detroit was given a 1st round pick because they wanted 2 2nd round picks and Miles.

Glad we kept him.

I'd bet money Patrick Crayton is traded to Miami at the end of the year for a 4th round pick.

Owens, Williams, and Miles

All 6'3, All Big, and all Fast.

If the Cowboys thought Austin was worth a #1, why trade for Roy Williams?

Miles is a homegrown Cowboy and he needs to stay a Cowboys. Quickly becoming one of my favorite Cowboys.

Assuming it's true, I think Dallas was basically acknowledging that they want to make sure they keep some speed at the position. As good as it looks right now, an injury to Owens or Williams, without having Austin on the roster, would allow defenses to keep doing the same old things to Dallas. Keeping Miles and acquiring Roy gives them some flexibility.

Not exactly.

If it was 1st, 3rd, 6th instead of 2nd, 2nd, Austin, that values Austin at about a mid 2nd rounder, which I think is about right.

ok, thanks

I bet you're a happy dude right now, this probably spells the end for Hurd as a Dallas Cowboy

or at least as a #3 receiver

The team has put alot of time into Austin and they are finally seeing results. There's a reason Detroit wanted him. I'd much rather give the 1st, 3rd, and 6th than 2 2nds and Austin, especially since the team has a ton of extra picks next year.

Hurd was no longer out #3.

And I remember being called an idiot because I said Roy Williams' trade value was about a 1st and a 3rd.

Nailed it.

Maybe they thought two 2nd rounders was worth one 1st and Miles was worth the 3rd. Dallas' 6th is probably already going to be pretty close to the Detroit 7th.
