Yes, Dez should have been flagged, but like others have stated....the refs were in disarray there. That whole play was whack. The proper call should have been penalties on both Hitchers and Pettigrew, cancelling each other out and replaying.

We will never know if that play decided the outcome, but I do not care!

Post of the year!

What ever, it isn't worth the argument. There is a line on the side lines players are supposed to be behind when not in the play.
Why do you think that's there? It aint worth the argument my friend.

Lol I'm not arguing. I'm just drinking.

He doesn't play defense and running on the field to argue a call should have been a 15 yard unsportsmanlike.

He was checking in to the game because it was now 4th down and he was going to return the punt that was about to happen. He became confused and ran on the field without his helmet. Oops. He has returned punts since his rookie year so he was a bit confused.....

Now go watch espn and the NFL network cry some more over the refs.

That line is for the play. It wasn't during a play. It was a dead ball. Players and coaches, etc. are constantly crossing that line. Someone please find a rule that says he couldn't be out there, otherwise, shoooosh.

He didn't just cross that line, he was out there at the numbers on the field arguing. Luckily ref had other fish to fry

The helmet has nothing to do with it. A payer coming of the sideline to argue a call is an unsportsmanlike 15 yarder. We got lucky.

I looked through NFL rules and did not find one that says that is a penalty. Obviously, unsportsmanlike conduct is subjective and I assume if Dez had said something to warrant a penalty he would have received one.

Dez said a few words and seemed to back up towards the sidelines right after.

So everybody from both sideslines is permitted to round out on the field between every play?

Awesome!

Show me a rule that limits the number of players on the field during a dead ball situation. I am not saying it doesn't exist, but I haven't found it.
