He ran probably 15 yard out to midfield to argue about a call on the defense, if you dont think he was lucky to get away with that, your not being honest with yourself. Some hot headed ref could have easily thrown a flag

The only thing it warranted was a warning, which he got and promptly got off the field. No reason to make more of it than that, unless you are a cowboy hater or sore loser lion fan grasping at straws.

If Tom Brady pulled that crap, ESPN would call him a valiant leader and that he was reinserted into the MVP race. Because it's Dez Bryant, he's just a distraction who should be penalized.

Where did you see how far onto the field he was?

Fact is, people saw him without a helmet and made a big deal out of it. Since it's been proven that doesn't apply, people are trying to change the argument. There was nothing unusual about what he did, nothing unusual about players or coaches going onto the field to argue a call, and nothing unusual about no flag being thrown.

Why? According to you he did nothing wrong.

Because the refs are not infaliable and often make mistakes. don't give them the opportunity. And for the record, I didn't say he didn't do anything wrong. I said I am not convinced that him being on the field is itself a penalty, but I am open to the fact that it might be if someone shows me the rule, which nobody has.

Again, if the can fine you which I have proven they can. It's because it's against the rules.

Fine him for what? Running on the field or arguing with the ref. But by what you said, it was the refs judgement call to make and they decided not to call it, so it wasn't a foul.

It's two different rules. I have seen many coaches step on the field to argue a call. They are immediately ushered back by either a ref or their own players or staff, why do you think that is?

You are right, im just worried some ref with an agenda or short temper would throw a flag. Let Garrett or Marinelli handle it

Its a judgement call on the part of the refs officiating the game. They didn't call the penalty. The opinion of two former refs who weren't at the game means diddley. Case closed. (Are we still arguing?)

Blandino was on NFL network discussing the Dez incident. Player without a helmet rule only applies to players on the field, not on sideline. Call for unsportsmanlike is at the refs discression. Happens all the time with folks (players, coaches) near the sideline arguing a call. Most of the time the refs just tell them to get back and move on.

The Ref on Mike and Mike explained it. The player is asked to leave the field immediately. Dez did. End of story. They don't want to call that.

this should have been obvious to anyone immediately, why this even became an issue is beyond me
