Did witten get scapegoated? And fired after 7 years? or did he make sure all young talent that ever came through dallas at TE never got a chance to take his job? He was a great player... HOF career .... but again it is what it is. some are better at playing the other game maybe..idk..
as for lee I'm sure there was personal things that went on between them and what other players told dez for him to say what he did..not saying its right..but i understand a player that bleeds cowboys getting emotional when he got the TO treatment..When it's clear DEZ LOVES THE COWBOYS... It's funny because I would've taken the last year we had him dez.. over cooper and 3 wittens today...
Bwahahahahaha...Dez wasn’t scape goated, he’s got so many of you by the ovaries. He is a man child, goes off on his ex coach that everyone hates and he’s become a hero, a voice that speaks for all the pissed off fans. I wish I could go back and pull up all the threads bashing Dez. An over whelming majority of the fans here wanted him gone and loved it when they announced it.
I love how you blame Witten for not giving other young TE’s the chance to play. LOL, is Witten setting the roster? Is Witten personally telling Jerry that no other TE can play but him? No. Witten came back because he wanted to win and thought he could help the team whether it be as a mentor, a leader or on the field.
I doubt you would have said the same thing about Dez after Coopers half season with us last year which was 10X better than Dez’s last season with us. Dez became a joke, it was almost sad to see him still playing his final few years. Not only did teams stop doubling teaming him, he was a non factor. Although he was a headache for his own team, everyone conveniently forgets his bad route running but also the distraction in the huddle. Remember how many times you would see him screaming at Dak because he wanted the ball? As a result, and because he was a rookie, Dak would force it to him. He was a menace and disrupted team chemistry with his selfishness.
