Wearing it for a few days in honor of coultt's news about his wife. Wish them well if you haven't been by that thread yet. They could probably use the support. :)

I understand..... I will definitely wish him the best...

Sports anchors in SA are the worst, no matter what sport they report on. Its like hey are auditioning for TMZ. Don Harris is the worst. The local Fox guys aren't too bad.

That guy got so busted!

I'm impressed with Dez in that situation.

BTW, I heard about 2 hours ago that Dez' team has a deal in hand ....not a signed deal, but there are talks going and the man is going to get paid.

Can you imagine all the cliff jumping that's going to happen? I remember when half this board wanted to run this kid outta town! Heck some think his numbers are just inflated. I'm going to enjoy this board when Dez gets his contract! Those same people wanted Mo gone after the first season and by all accounts he's been breasting it up in Camp going into his 3rd year. Hmm maybe we should have a bit of patience with the young guys.

Greg Simmons isn't the type to falsify a report. He's an extremely honest fellow. Dez probably initially felt his contract negotiations were in jeopardy of being compromised by Tyron's huge contract and reacted hastily. If Simmons saw him react in the parking lot with a staffer and another player in there, I think he more than likely reported exactly what he saw. Simmons likely capitulated to Dez's plight and let him off the hook. I really believe all this is much to do about nothing worth getting upset about. Stuff happens.

Either way he is a type of reporter to falsify a report. He either did it from the get go or he's doing it now by backing off and saying it isn't true. Either way the 1st report wasn't true or the 2nd report isn't true.

I seriously doubt you know anything about Greg Simmons to call him a liar. If you did, you'd never make that comment. I know him well enough to be confident that he afforded Dez the benefit of the doubt that he never really intended to begrudge Tyron his contract. Once Greg had time to consider that Dez's initial reaction was done in haste, he backed off. Both Dez and Greg are good people. I think Dez is simply an emotional guy who reacted at the spur of the moment. He more than likely was simply too embarassed to admit his knee-jerk reaction. He has to face Tyron every day, after all. It's quite understandable, all things considered.

Man visibly upset after winning lottery.

He stubbed is toe on the way to pick up his winnings.

Context can mean everything.

Yea, in Alice in Wonderland - that was based upon a drug induced world...done in descriptive language.

Mr. Simmons obviously needs to have been potty trained prior to going to public school...now proclaim due process being violated here!

Never heard of the SA News fellow. Must be trying too hard.

While I hate players going to Twitter wars, this was justified and then some.

Lol, epic art there, baby....or was that heart? I don't mind standing one's ground on demeaning media pot stirring, period.

Why does this media guy get the benefit of the doubt by some people? He reported irresponsibly and got called on it. He didn't even cite the ever so popular "unnamed source". He could have been much more clear by stating that he saw that Dez was visibly upset about something, and then speculated whether or not it had something to do with the contract announcement. For all we know, Dez might have been getting crunk after practice listening to 2 Chainz.

Dallas does not have a problem player in Dez they have a problem media who gets bored and needs to create their own stories. This crap is getting old quick, report the fact not your damn opinion. You are not lip readers, your not mind readers you are reporters do your damn job which is reporting facts, if you have no fact then shut your mouth!!!!!

I don't know. From what I have seen of Greg Simmons, if he says that Dez was visibility upset in the parking lot then I would believe him. I am just don't know how he could be sure its about his contract.

Yes, fair reporting demands that you make sure you understand a situation before you report it. Saying Dez Bryant was upset in a parking lot with a staffer and teammate isn't wrong if Simmons saw it (for clarity's sake, he should have said who the staffer and teammate were). Saying it was over his contract without confirmation is unjustifiable poor reporting.

Of course, that's the problem with Twitter. People often throw out their observations without taking a moment to think about them. As a journalist, you have to be more responsible than that.
