Again, one of his comments isn't true. he either jumped the gun with his 1st comment or he's backed off what he believes is the truth to make dez happy or whatever his reason are. Either way he's not being honest. You can't make 2 comments that are directly the opposite and get the bennifit of the doubt.

Simmons' 2nd comment was obviously said in sarcasm. Surprised you didn't quite get that.

Your attempts to defend this Simmons clown throughout this thread are seriously ridiculous and laughable.

Minutes after the Tyron deal was announced, Dez publicly congratulated him via twitter. Then several HOURS later this "reporter" claims that he saw Dez upset in the parking lot (which hasn't been verified or validated by anyone else), and then goes a step further to connect imaginary dots to conclude that he was upset about Tyron's contract. Completely ridiculous, careless, garbage reporting.

There has been absolutely NO evidence presented to support his claims that Dez is/was upset by Tyron's deal. Dude was trying to stir the pot. Nothing more. Completely lame and as far as I'm concerned the guy has no credibility.

Words like ridiculous and laughable don't belong on the same thread as other men...

Whether his second comment is sarcasm or not, the problem people have isn't whether or not he lied about seeing Dez upset, it was the connection that he must be upset about Smith's contract without 1) hearing those words come from him or 2) asking him, himself. Instead of actaully verifying a story he was trying to create, he just assumed what Dez was upset about, and wrote it out there as if it was a fact. and that is what has people upset. Dez is a passionate person, and I have a belief that if someone was arguing with him about the color of the freaking sky, he would probably look like from a distance that, that someone was insulting his mother, he was about to hurt the guy. So to make up one's own conclusion without any evidence based on just what he saw at a distance is irresponsible, and indefensible. He probably isn't lying about what he saw, but his conclusion is unsubstantiated and unproven, which is was what the vast majority of people are calling him out on.

You obviously know nothing about Greg Simmons beyond what he commented as to what he saw regarding Dez's initial reaction to Tyron's contract. Dez simply got caught unaware giving a reflex action before he had a chance to think it out. After Simmons reported what he saw, Dez realized what he had done and proceeded to do damage control. It was nothing malicious by Dez but simply a careless knee-jerk impulse.

Greg Simmons is a kind-hearted and gentle human being who wouldn't hurt a fly and simply reported what he witnessed. If you're under the impression that Dez is a saint, then you might be mistaken. I think he's totally a good, honest guy who happened to make a careless mistake. We all do that from time to time. If that idea bothers you, then I'm sorry.

Both sides of this argument are totally unsubstantiated. Nobody is attacking Dez, here. I simply have my opinion and you have yours. I fully realize there's a great deal of sensitivity about Dez and his reputation. It's beyond time to let it go. Enough, already.

Based on your comments the same could be said about you in regards to Simmons.

The only thing that is unsubstantiated is the original premise that Dez was upset about Smiths contract. unless he heard that coming from Dez's mouth, then the only thing thats an opinion is the fact that Dez was upset about Smiths contract.

Do you have conclusive proof that Dez is telling the truth other than taking his word for it? I seriously doubt it. It's your opinion too.

The same can be said about those who say anything about anybody. I have no ax to grind with Dez. Just an opinion about Greg.
In the end, that's all that any one of us has. It's easy to jump on someone you know nothing of. Most convenient for all of you.

the only thing Dez said was what(at least from the OP thats all I saw)...so what Truth did Dez say?!? I dont have an opinion I have a facts. He didn't hear Dez say anything, cause he would have said Dez said"xyz" so he merely saw Dez and reported what he saw, then generated an opinion that was inflammatory, and then later retracted said opinion when Dez questioned him. Those are facts, whether you think the guy isn't a liar, a good journalist, or whatever it doesn't change the facts. he reported what he saw, generated an opinion and instead of trying to substantiate said opinion, he ran off at the mouth and then backtracked when questioned. My opinion is that, he was being lazy, and got called on it, you can defend him if you want, but it doesn't change the facts that occurred.

LOL

This is some good stuff right here. Either the above poster IS Simmons, or they're a sad Simmons fan boy that will defend him regardless of facts.

The reality here is, Simmons CLAIMS he saw an upset Bryant in a parking lot (which has yet to be verified or validated by anyone else), and then somehow concluded and reported that he was upset because of Tyron's contract. There is absolutely zero evidence to support any of this.

And I also saw the other ridiculous posts by the above poster asking for evidence showing that Bryant WASN'T upset by Tyron's contract. LOL. So now "reporters" can make up whatever bogus stories they want and pass them off as true until the subject proves otherwise?! Hahaha.

Hey guys, I saw Jason Garrett this morning outside of a McDonalds pitching a fit over the Tyron extension. He was screaming about how he should've gotten his first. I asked him what was wrong and he threw a partially eaten hash brown at me and ran away! Remember now, this will be classified as true until someone provides proof that it didnt happen!

Brb logging onto Twitter to "report" this "news".

Why is it when someone defends another he's either the person in disguise or is a fan boy?

I think Simmons jumped to a wrong conclusion, but I'm not making any sweeping statements about Simmons' character or his overall credibility. Bullflop apparently knows or pays attention to Simmons. Why does he have to be a fan boy because he defends him?

And I agree with ScipioCowboy. The burden of proof lies with Simmons because he made the claim that Dez stormed out because he was mad at the Tyron's new contract. He should have verified that before putting it out there like that.

Thought so . . . no proof. Case closed.
