LOL

This is some good stuff right here. Either the above poster IS Simmons, or they're a sad Simmons fan boy that will defend him regardless of facts.

The reality here is, Simmons CLAIMS he saw an upset Bryant in a parking lot (which has yet to be verified or validated by anyone else), and then somehow concluded and reported that he was upset because of Tyron's contract. There is absolutely zero evidence to support any of this.

And I also saw the other ridiculous posts by the above poster asking for evidence showing that Bryant WASN'T upset by Tyron's contract. LOL. So now "reporters" can make up whatever bogus stories they want and pass them off as true until the subject proves otherwise?! Hahaha.

Hey guys, I saw Jason Garrett this morning outside of a McDonalds pitching a fit over the Tyron extension. He was screaming about how he should've gotten his first. I asked him what was wrong and he threw a partially eaten hash brown at me and ran away! Remember now, this will be classified as true until someone provides proof that it didnt happen!

Brb logging onto Twitter to "report" this "news".

Great fiction -- love it.

Why is it when someone defends another he's either the person in disguise or is a fan boy?

I think Simmons jumped to a wrong conclusion, but I'm not making any sweeping statements about Simmons' character or his overall credibility. Bullflop apparently knows or pays attention to Simmons. Why does he have to be a fan boy because he defends him?

And I agree with ScipioCowboy. The burden of proof lies with Simmons because he made the claim that Dez stormed out because he was mad at the Tyron's new contract. He should have verified that before putting it out there like that.
My question is why did he jump to any conclusion?

Literally, anyone in the world can access twitter, type whatever they want, and send it out for the entire world to read. However, Mr. Simmons is not just anyone using Twitter. He is a member of the media. It is one thing for him to use twitter to send personal opinions about his personal life. It is another thing for him to present himself as a media member attempting to convey valid information to the public via Twitter.

There should be some informal or formal requirement for the media to not broadcast unverifiable information. Tweeting intentional or unintentionally false information is a deceit. Mr. Simmons and his peers should always hold themselves above committing such actions. In other words, the tweet should not have been created in the first place.

Ben and Skin were talking this afternoon that Dez was irritated by the whole deal taking so long. Said he said he would sign a 4 year 44 million dollar a year deal today but Dallas isn't offering that. FWIW

Seriously dude? Have you read the posts in this thread?

There is a CLEAR difference between defending someone based on an objective view of the facts, and being a blind, almost embarrassing fanboy.

Here are some excerpts from our friend Bullflop's posts:
If this doesn't qualify as ignoring the facts and being a fanboy, I don't know what does.

"Greg Simmons isn't the type to falsify a report. He's an extremely honest fellow."
"I seriously doubt you know anything about Greg Simmons to call him a liar. If you did, you'd never make that comment."
"Greg Simmons is a kind-hearted and gentle human being who wouldn't hurt a fly"

Laughable. It should be obvious to anyone reading this thread that Bullflop already has an opinion of Simmons that's going to prevent him from viewing this scenario objectively. Hell, he even went down the illogical road of claiming the burden was on everybody else to provide proof that Dez wasn't upset over Tyron's contract! LOL.

#1 why is this mediot hanging around the parking lot? (creepy)
#2 what would possess him to say something about a player when he clearly had it wrong? (idiot)

as others have suggested, even if Dez was upset, perhaps there was something OTHER than Ty that was bothering him? maybe one of his tires was underinflated? who knows....but, the retraction was kinda humorous....

That's why I asked was he a relative? Only a relative would know if he was a kind-hearted and gentle human being who wouldn't hurt a fly. lol

LOL, maybe he got a parking ticket? Maybe someone keyed his car? The whole premise of him being upset in the parking lot over Tyron's contract was ridiculous. There was never any evidence to support that claim. Dude was connecting imaginary dots to stir the pot and get attention, and he got called out on it.

Simmons has a reputation of getting drunk at all the local bars and trying to pickup girls(there used to even be a facebook page "I got wasted with Greg Simmons") so maybe he's a drinking buddy?

Is there some prize out there for twitter "hits"? I never signed up for that nonsense since anyone can lie in there as much as they want...but, I am sure that guy got some attention and that was is how they get their name out there...

To address #1, maybe the reporter wasn't simply hangin out in the parking lot and just happened to be there at that particular moment. The parking lot is a public area. Also, the reporter followed up in another tweet that Dez was yelling loud enough to be heard.

That said, he may have heard Dez yelling, but still not know the context of the discussion.

Are you confusing this San Antonio reporter with the Greg guy who used to be on The Ticket?
