When you have bad QB play you compensate by running the ball behind the best OL in the league. McFadden had a career high in carries and if what he did last season was anything special we wouldn't have used the 4th overall pick on a running back. What Zeke has done in 12 games shows just how average McFadden's season was. Adrian Peterson put up almost 2100 yards with a bad QB situation behind an OL that wasn't as good as ours.
