Dez is the biggest scapegoat I have ever seen in pro sports

The defense allows a touchdown on every drive

Demarcus Ware is contributing nothing

Tony Romo threw 2 consecutive picks

Jason Garrett managed the game like a 4 year old fresh off of a dental procedure

And yet I turn on the TV and hear about Dez.. I log on to this forum and see about 6 threads about Dez on the first page.. It is absolutely crazy to me.. Dez walked off the field I'm guessing because he was about to have an emotional outburst that he was crucified for a few weeks earlier in Detroit.. Has no one around here ever seen a guy who cared about winning or losing? This is a guy who probably loses sleep over losses.. Not saying guys like Witten and Lee don't but not everyone is Witten and Lee.

Just a side note if Romo threw a better deep ball yesterday Dez would have had about 250 yards and 3 TDs

Dez is far from perfect and I have issues with some of his actions too but I find myself constantly trying to defend him due to how unfair the narrative on him seems to be

Dez shouldn't be the focal point but he does it to himself. You can't walk off the field when you play for the Dallas Cowboys in that type of situation.

Well you can't have an emotional outburst on the sidelines either.

And if you don't show any emotion you get ridiculed for not caring.

So... pick your poison, right?

It's really a no win situation for Bryant because the media will spin regardless.

The emotion part can be justified whether the media wants to spin it or not, but walking off the field can't be justified.

I have seen WAY MORE people defending Dez on this forum than I have seen scapegoating him.

So no...OP is wrong.

More people are ripping on Jerry, Jason, Bill, Romo, Ware and a host of others.

Right. He Is a tremendous player but you have
To know that your actions are under scrutiny.

that said Dez's actions yesterday are indicative of the state of this franchise. A complete circus.

What does Dave Campo at Sea World have to do with this topic? That's right, nothing.

I'm not sure how I feel about him walking off but Andre Johnson did the same thing this season.

Must be a receiver thang.

I support Dez in his frustration. I'm more disgusted by JG than anyone else. Hell, Demarco Murray should've followed Dez out.

The point is, the guy is villified, and regardless of what he does someone is going to have a problem with it.

Leaves early: Media says he quit, is immature, etc
Sideline emotion: Media says he is immature, gave up hope
Did nothing: Media would say he was content with his performance and is a me player/ we would say he's given up

Just my opinion, but I don't think it matters what Dez does. We've seen the media twist his words, flat out lie about his actions, and fabricate a villain thus far. I don't know if that will change until the Cowboys actually win.

I wish he would have. He would seem like the next one to do something like that after Dez. I could also see Witten doing that to. Even though he tries to to say the company line 'we gotta get better crap' but I bet deep down Witten is not totally on board with what is going on. The rest of em can sit on the bench, look up at the giant video board and watch the Packers or whatever team kneel down a couple of times and enjoy losing.

I would rather him walk off if the alternative was another TO crying situation. The media and other fans would have a field day with a video of him tearing up. All guys are created different and Dez seems to need to be hyped up to do his beast.

no one blames him for the loss yesterday

his action (in walking off the field) is still not excusable

actions have consequences, radical thought i know

Dez needs to learn to behave like a pro, 'emotion' is not an excuse

so, the other players were not emotional?

I don't blame him for crying after this loss, he really cares about the Cowboys.
I love his passion.
Reminds me of another # 88.
