Some of them really hate Dez. Not really sure why. He got hate before he was injured last season. Every negative story about him, no matter how shaky the provenance, found lots of willing targets here. They've sided with JJT, Skip Bayless, Ian Crapaport, and Jaywan Inc over Dez. I've got some theories but it's largely inexplicable.

He fractured the knee, but it was healed enough that he could play a game on it.

So he played.

That doesn't mean they don't consider it to be an issue any more and aren't limiting him so they can keep an eye on it. If he gets hurt again, dang right the staff would prefer it be in an actual game, not a practice.

It's funny, I get into it with my dad because literally every time someone has a couple of good drives against us in a game, he starts with "this isn't how we used to play, we'd stop them every time" or "man this isn't the Cowboys way"

Last game, at halftime he was like "I thought they were better than this, not like the team used to be"

Everyone compares modern football to the 90's teams, and those teams are even viewed in this idealistic way like they just dominated every drive on both sides of the ball.

It's really tough to be 6-1 in today's NFL starting a rookie QB with little investment on the Defense.

Also it's the internet, so everyone loves hot takes and getting mad about something!

Its obvious that hes dealing with soreness. Thats what happens when your out so long and now you have to get through the first game. Dez will be ready to go.

I don't think there is a bigger Dez fan in all of CZ than myself. With hat being said, since he signed the big $$$ deal, he's not the same. It's typical. Doesn't surprise me at all!!!
