Dez Update if interested

That could be part of it for sure.

I just think he was never that great to begin with, but he had the perfect QB match for him. I think Aaron Rodgers could provide the same. Eli would't be too bad if he can regain his form. Dez needs a QB to throw to him a certain way in traffic because he isn't a tough cover for anyone in terms of creating space.

Dez is flat nasty at going up for a high or back-shoulder ball down the sideline. He's the best there is at it. Romo and Dez abused teams with that unstoppable dynamic. Dak doesn't like that throw at all.
That’s exactly why I don’t want him going to the Giants. Romo excelled with Dez by throwing the jump ball and Eli excelled with Plaxico doung the same thing. The Giants haven’t had a tall red zone receiver since Plaxico (minus Marshall bt that was for a few games and Dez is better). If Eli and Dez hook up, I don’t see our secondary shutting them down like the dreamers here like to think. Hopefully they don’t get Dez and hopefully their O line still sucks otherwise we’ll be in for a fight.

Good point

Romo made a lot of WR millionaires

He turned down a multi year offer from the Ravens because he wants to prove himself on a 1-year contract so he can cash in on one more big contract.

What a mental midget.

The Cowboys weren’t wrong to cut Dez no matter what he does in the NFL going forward. For us he was a distraction. He didn’t work on getting better. He didn’t show up for medical treatments....on and on. I wish him well, but we will be a better team without him, and how he performs on his next stint has nothing to do with that.

I hope he does sign with the Giants and do something funny to make Jerry mad like stand on the star.

Then again, nothing really bothers Jerry as long as the $$$ is coming in.
LoL it would hilarious to see him pulling that T.O. move at mid field and receive a 5 minute standing ovation with the entire cowboys running up to slap him on the back,of course he's to stupid to realize the complete directed mockery of him it really represents.

Well, I don't think anyone has ever considered him a candidate for Mensa.

So far only the Ravens have reported to make an offer .

But if Dez truly has a vendetta wanting to limit his prospects to divisional rivals it would explain much.
It would explain the fact he is an immature flake like many people that have not been emotionally invested in him have suggested for years.

Baltimore sucks, why the hell would he go there? If Dez wants a prove it deal he certainly needs a better situation than the Ravens.

as reported:

"...the Ravens offered Bryant a contract that was comparable to the one that Michael Crabtree signed with Baltimore, meaning the Ravens were offering a three-year deal for roughly $21 million. Not only did Crabtree get a three-year deal, but his contract also included a $7 million signing bonus and $11 million total in guaranteed money. If you're Bryant, it seems like a risky move to turn down that kind of money."

I wonder if Dez overestimates his market value? That's a lot of coin to turn down. Hopefully he is getting good advice from his agent.

according to espn dez turned down ravens multi year offer preferring a one year deal instead. his goal is to have a great year and then get a big money deal again. sounds like a plan. unfortunately, a very bad plan.

The only thing I can think is he still thinks he’s great and Flacco will miss him a ton and make him look bad

Honestly, the only reason I would turn down the Ravens is if I had no intention of staying in the league long term. Just get a one year deal to stay afloat and plan your exit. If he's planning to stay longer and doing this to spite, then yeah, he's being stupid.

A lot of people on this site say they've heard this or that from a source. I will give my source, she is the cousin of Sterling Shepherd for the Giants and is also the girlfriend of one of Dez's bodyguards. https://www.lmggalleries.com/erikafree/

Dez is turning down opportunities in hopes of signing with the Giants period. He is wanting to get back at the Cowboys.

That foolishness is proof we needed to let him go.

Dez just learned that team options are not good for a vet

It is better to go year to year than get stuck on a 3 year team favored phony deal

He does..

Say what you want about Dez but he's one of the best ever at scoring.

You put Dez out Wide and Gronk in the middle and there is no way to stop that team really.

If you blitz Brady he's got 2 guys that can destroy you.

Dak's not throwing up there in New England.

Dez can't run a route. No one wants him. It's evident. Hell the Cowboys would never have cut him if he could play AT ALL.

I find that hard to believe. Not that he is a mental midget. That anyone offered him anything.
