Even if it was true, the natural follow-up question remains unanswered.
How can he be indifferent to money just two weeks after being cut because of money? If it was all about the money, Dez wouldn't be turning down offers. If it was never about the money then why didn't he take a reduced salary?
He can't say it isn't about the money when it most obviously is about the money. The reason he hasn't signed with someone is because he still believes he's worth more than what other teams are offering. That, or he's just holding out for the sake of being able to coast through another offseason. He knows he won't be puppy-guarded by any other owner, so may as well sit it out until halfway through camp. Can't blame him for not putting in work if there's no work to put in.
