Dez Update if interested

Of course I see the difference, but apparently you sont see the difference between drafting and FA as respect to a player’s choice...
I assure you I see the difference. Lol. I wasn’t the one making the comparison between the Moss and Dez situations, you were. Randy was simply motivated to stick it to Dallas, like many players are who feel they were wronged by a particular team. Dez is going to a whole new level. He can sign with any team in the league and will have the opportunity to play Dallas within 4 years, with 4 years being the max for a small amount of teams. He will eventually be able to play Dallas and show up with all his passion and try to stick it to all his haters

A lot of people on this site say they've heard this or that from a source. I will give my source, she is the cousin of Sterling Shepherd for the Giants and is also the girlfriend of one of Dez's bodyguards. https://www.lmggalleries.com/erikafree/

Dez is turning down opportunities in hopes of signing with the Giants period. He is wanting to get back at the Cowboys.

Not really interested. But that pretty much falls in line with Dez Bryant. HE is an fool. Glad he is gone.

I don't think cares about the business side.

He's what fans always wish for in their players. A guy that doesn't care about the money.

He's a horrible business person but he's a NFL Warrior.

The Patriots still make the most sense to me from a pure football standpoint. He takes them to a 2007 Patriots level on offense.

The pats will be the pats without Dez. It's Not like he would be Randy moss pats effective. Dez is no more than a jump ball opportunity.

Of course I brought up Moss to point out, playing particular teams to get revenge is a huge motivation for players. Just like it is for a player when he faces another player he views as his rival.

You on the other hand are denying that as even a motivation or that the motivation somehow precludes that Dez isn’t going to factor in other reasons when choosing a spot.

I never said I agree with it. I said from the very beginning he shouldn’t act emotional and the best revenge is to play well no matter where he goes. Giants have questions at OL and playcalling as last year demonstrated.

I get Cowboy fans would like too downplay this news all they want but Dez going to the Giants would be a serious threat in our division.

Pairing Dez with ODB, Shepard and Engram would be the best WR corps inthe NFL.

No, I am not denying wanting to get back at a team is motivation. As a matter of fact, I admitted it is motivation for many players when they play a team that has wrong him and claimed he can get his opportunity to play agianst the Cowboys regardless of who he signs with.

It is really difficult to have a conversation with someone who either won’t read what is being said, or can’t understand what is being said. So, it isn’t that important to me to continue this conversation.

You are right, I am wrong. You win. Congratulations

So what did I say when you first responded to me, particularly since you’re taking about “understanding what is being said” you “poor victim”?

His decision, of course. But he's looking at a max of 60 targets, somewhere around 35-40 receptions behind OBJ, Sheppard and Engram. That's a best case scenario. That shows the level of emotion involved if that's what he's willing to settle for.
He lives through his emotions and makes rash decisions, so I wouldn't doubt if he signs with them - and then regrets it after 1-2 games.

Rotoworld is reporting that Jerry said the Cowboys would not be interested in resigning Dez even at a reduced salary.......I think his actions and loss of manhood since he was cut has a lot to do with it...as well as other teams lack of interest due to him only wanting to go to one team to try and "get back" at his former team........good job Dez.

Dez needs to concentrate on getting his last decent size contract because he’s about to go to the bad side of 30 for an nfl player.

People have been saying the same thing 2 years now. Their offense has been trash for 2 years.

That's not why at all. They had no interest in keeping him even if he played for free.
You don't humiliate and hurt a man the way they did to Dez publically and then expect he plays for you again.
These are elite professional athletes. They have pride and after being kicked out on his butt in front of the nation you don't ask them back.
Dez is a competitive person. Maybe to a fault. You tell everyone you are better off without him and you should expect he wants to prove you wrong. I'd be disappointed if he didn't want to get back at us.

You can like the cowboys and be objective at the same time.

objectively, Dez is and always was a whiny diva with the maturity level of an 8 year old, he was the 2nd best receiver in the NFL from 2012-2014 behind Megatron. But post 2015 injuries he has been a very average starting WR. THAT is objectivity. The cut was a no brainer.

I'm not trying to turn this into another Dez thread, but I've said this for years --------> Dez is not smart enough to defend himself. Where was his agent this entire time? Why didn't agent come out and force a trade/release when S. Jones was publicly talking about Dez?

The issue isn't that he wants to prove us wrong. It's that proving us wrong twice a year has become his primary objective, when it should be putting himself in the best position to be successful and win. Proving us wrong should be a secondary objective that comes along when his new team happens to play the Cowboys.
