Dez Update if interested

I hope he does sign with the Giants and do something funny to make Jerry mad like stand on the star.

Then again, nothing really bothers Jerry as long as the $$$ is coming in.

That’s like saying they made the right move in not drafting Randy Moss.

Randy Moss was a future HOF talent....but no one knew that before he played.

We’ve seen Dez play for 8 seasons....3 or 4 we’re elite. That’s it.

Dez need to move on and work in a championship for the next team. Not being stuck on revenge.

*sigh*

Ignore the comparison then. The point is that if someone didn’t want Dez to be cut, or thought it was a mistake, him reacting bitterly shouldn’t change that. “Well then screw him!” Is more understandable

He'll look good in a Montreal Alouettes uniform.

I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think I believe that "source" inferring that Dez is turning down OFFERS (plural) waiting for an offer from the Giants.
If they had said he turned down 1 offer for whatever reason, maybe. But OFFERS (plural)? Not 1, but numerous offers? I don't believe it.
Sounds more like they're trying to cover up for the fact that he's not getting offers. I don't believe Dez would be turning down paychecks, waiting for a chance at revenge.
He might be PO'ed at the Cowboys, but turning down several paycheck offers??
I'm not buying it.

it just shows Dez's immaturity....if his focus is just wanting cowboys to pay for cutting him and Giants dont even want him..it is actually sad...although if he did somehow get on Giants and we had to face him at least twice a year it could get very ugly for cowboys....deep down i am praying no NFC east team takes him...
cowboys did do him wrong waiting so long
...

That depends on the reason. Sure, if they did that on purpose then you're right. But do you REALLY believe they drug it out on purpose just to make things more difficult? I don't. How do you know they didn't have a good reason for waiting?
Maybe they felt they needed to wait on the FA situation.

A lot of people on this site say they've heard this or that from a source. I will give my source, she is the cousin of Sterling Shepherd for the Giants and is also the girlfriend of one of Dez's bodyguards. https://www.lmggalleries.com/erikafree/

Dez is turning down opportunities in hopes of signing with the Giants period. He is wanting to get back at the Cowboys.
Well, slap you mama, Dez. That is not cricket!

objectively, Dez is and always was a whiny diva with the maturity level of an 8 year old, he was the 2nd best receiver in the NFL from 2012-2014 behind Megatron. But post 2015 injuries he has been a very average starting WR. THAT is objectivity. The cut was a no brainer.

The Jones fracture is what did Dez in, just like it did in Hakeem Nicks.

You lose your burst and acceleration, key attributes for an NFL wide receiver.

Go watch tape of Dez pre injury and then post injury............he is a shell of his former self

Well, that's just what Dez - supposedly - claims. Whether or not it's actually true is another story.

Even if it was true, the natural follow-up question remains unanswered.

How can he be indifferent to money just two weeks after being cut because of money? If it was all about the money, Dez wouldn't be turning down offers. If it was never about the money then why didn't he take a reduced salary?

He can't say it isn't about the money when it most obviously is about the money. The reason he hasn't signed with someone is because he still believes he's worth more than what other teams are offering. That, or he's just holding out for the sake of being able to coast through another offseason. He knows he won't be puppy-guarded by any other owner, so may as well sit it out until halfway through camp. Can't blame him for not putting in work if there's no work to put in.

Dez has millions in the bank, so he can do anything he wants.
I hope he signs with the nyg,
It will make the games more interesting.
Also it might motivate him to
Try harder.
Also would be fun to see what nyg do with him.
They might do better than cowboys did.
Either way it should be fun to watch.

He wasn't cut over $,it was performance and attitude.
Dallas was cutting him, and
They decided before the meeting, which was just to tell him.
That's why they made Watkins a offer.

Dez's long speed, i.e. ability to beat corners deep on nine routes, his main specialty along with his jump ball ability... was gone after 2015 Week 1. So I agree

Uh....really? This basically ignores everything we have heard.

Asking Dez for logic in his statements or actions is asking a bit much, '60s lad.
As to sitting it out, is it reasonable to think any team would suddenly want an unconditioned Dez who, on top of that, needs to lessen a new playbook and scheme?

That could be part of it for sure.

I just think he was never that great to begin with, but he had the perfect QB match for him. I think Aaron Rodgers could provide the same. Eli would't be too bad if he can regain his form. Dez needs a QB to throw to him a certain way in traffic because he isn't a tough cover for anyone in terms of creating space.

Dez is flat nasty at going up for a high or back-shoulder ball down the sideline. He's the best there is at it. Romo and Dez abused teams with that unstoppable dynamic. Dak doesn't like that throw at all.
