and usually getting it. Just saw last night's highlights and saw him almost have a meltdown because he didn't get a strike call on a pitch at least 7 inches off the plate. MLB home plate umpires make NBA refs look good.

I was at the game last night. Man, he is the real deal. He had one wild inning, which gave the Jays the 2 runs needed (Chacin pitched a gem,) but there were times where he made the Jays batters look foolish.

I'm not saying he's not the real deal but damn, at least pitch in the major leagues for four games before you get a Maddux strike zone.:bang2:

I had a dream, it was a crazy dream that all strike zones were created equal. Ahh who am I kidding that will never happen.

Tom Glavine has had a good career due to throwing the ball 2" off the plate, but getting it called a strike. They call those strikes and he is not as good a pitcher. That happened a couple of years ago when the umps were using the electronic strike zone and Glavine was the biggest complainer.

I have never understood giving already good players further leeway. A good corner gets away with more pass interference, a good scorer gets away with more pushing off in basketball and whatever.

All good points. Still, back to Dice-K, it's a matter of when, not if, he throws a no-hitter.
