Zeke's style of running is a lot more physically demanding on him and the defenders trying to tackle him. I'd be more concerned about conserving his strength and overall health for the playoffs,,, Dickerson can have his individual record.

He is probably right unless Zeke breaks some long runs.
agree with this......I suspect we see Zeke's carries per came decline the last quarter of the season. If he we were full throttle Zeke every game the rest of the way, I think he eclipse that record by a couple hundred yards.

The good news is Zeke saying all the right things. He focused on winning not personal records. How many games did Dickerson win setting the record? How many championships does Dickerson have? That record is the only thing Dickerson has to hang his hat on. Of course he doesn't want to see it broken

Records are made to be broken but it's surely apparent that Dickerson doesn't subscribe to that idea. Right now, it soothes his ego to jut out his chest and boast about his record being "safe." What he's not counting on is that those 21 yards that Ezekiel is lacking in that record breaking scenario can readily disappear in little more than the blink of an eye. I'd like nothing better than to see Elliott compel Dickerson to be humbled. That would make my day. Despite all of that, whether Elliott does so or not won't detract from the fact that he's having an incredible year.

I agree with this ... mainly because Garrett keeps taking him out of he game. I understand wanting to not abuse him but this thinking will prevent Zeke from getting the necessary amount of carries.

He definitely won't, unless he gets a couple 200 yarders.

It was interesting to see Zeke's carries get limited in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. I was screaming for him to get more carries after he torched Pitt on the 83 yard screen pass-- and then I realized they were saving him up for the 4th quarter.

I think that is a great strategy for Zeke actually. Use him in the first quarter to score early and get a solid lead, and then let him ice the game in the 4th qtr when teams are worn down. His two big runs in the 4th were beautiful to watch-- but how much of it was due to the Pitt DL being absolutely worn out?
