I'd rather we be safe with EE's workload and spell him with Morris than go after some silly footnote in history. Unlike Dickerson's '83 team, I'd like to go further than the divisional round.

That's the difference between them. I think Zeke would gladly concede the record in favor of team success.

It would be nice if he's breaks the record, but irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

I think its more important to use Zeke wisely than to worry about breaking a record rather than breaking a leg. We took Zeke a few games where we were ahead and could have easily kept him in to run up the yardage ; I think that was the right decision.

And no one will ever break Emmitt's record.
Emmitts is much harder because it's a long term record and involves staying healthy. I don't think zeke breaks the record because it's not important. He will stay right around that 22 carries a game and if we get a game under control he will be rested

Just imagine if we have home field and playoff spot wrapped and Garrett wants Zeke to break the record but he pulls a scene from the movie When the Game Stood Still. That would be classy.

I was a huge fan of Dickerson, we share the same b-day. But i want zeke to break the record.

Give me
110 and 2 tds vs baltimore
140 and 2 tds vs washington
120 and 1 td vs minnesota

That will put him at 1375 and 14 tds with 4 games left. So if he simply met his yds per game avg over the last 4, the record should be his. Also, just 5 tds in the last 4 and he gets that record as well

Zeke would have to avg 114 a game. I think if he does not break Dickerson record it will be close.

I think he is going to need atleast 2 games of 175+ yards to break it. If he does this I believe he will get the record. A ton depends on the playoff picture, as well.

With 1005 yards and 7 games to go, i'll say around 1600 yards. He will be rested, Morris or McFadden to play more.

Maybe so but the way Zeke's season is going, it's not too far-fetched to hope for. I'd sure like to see it happen. Betcha you would too.

Preach, Bullflop! Preach! These dudes would be doing cartwheels if he gets it, make no mistake about it. They can veil themselves behind their takes, but they would be drooling as he gets closer and closer. My brudda, Bullflop :)
