Some of the people in here need to stop being to salty. Dickerson didnt take any shots at Zeke as a player or person. He just doesnt want his record broke and it may or may not happen.

Dickerson has admitted many times he doesn't want his records broken especially his all-time single season rushing record that Peterson came up only about 9 yards short of. AP still has to be banging his head over that.

ED was the truth on every level he played the sport of football. For those not old enough to have seen him play...please look him up on YouTube. Amazing...amazing talent at RB.

I really don't see anything wrong in his statement nor is it a slight to my favorite RB to come out of college since Adrian Peterson. Dickerson never won a championship so his records are what he has to hang his hat on. Can't blame him. I would like to see Zeke break it on his way to MVP of the League, Rookie of the Year and SB MVP.

That's the difference between them. I think Zeke would gladly concede the record in favor of team success.

Why do you think Dickerson wouldn't have done the same if he had that type of opportunity? His Rams team needed him to be a record breaker to be as good as they were, which was a 9-7 wildcard team. Without him they would have been a bad team. With him they were an average team at best.

Not interested in seeing Zeke break the record. I don't care. I want a Lombardi. Anything else is unimportant.

Finally. Glad an athlete is honest and says he doesn't want his record broken.

Your move Zeke.

Looks less likely Zeke will break the record , since already the opposing teams have a bullseye on him and we need him for playoffs. So unless Romo starts and the teams have to stop crowding the LOS , Zeke getting 800+ yards in 7 games is less likely

It's not that Zeke can't break it. It's that any responsible team won't let him. You don't want to wear him out especially if you are going to be in the playoffs. The NFL was different in the day when Dickerson and Earl Campbell ran almost every down into 250lb defensive linemen.

Please. Dickerson was a very selfish play and all he does care about are his stupid records. He cried out LA, cried out of Indy and described by his teammates as selfish. Those Rams teams didn't go anywhere with him because he came up small in big games like Peterson, Tomlinson, Sanders, etc.

Rest him before the playoffs if such a luxury presents itself. But I have a feeling this divisional race is going to tighten soon.

The Giants have the Bears and Browns next, so you can pencil in 8-3 for them. One loss, and it's on like Donkey Kong because they beat Dallas already.

Dallas is going to have to lean on Zeke heavily, I'm afraid.

I betcha the Giants will lose one of those.

Not sure why anyone would be upset he dont want his record broken. Anyone who has played competitive sports are normally passionate about their accomplishments.

Most guys are gracious when their records are broken, but, secretly, they don't want their records broken. It just goes against human nature.

Dickerson was very complimentary of Zeke and our oline. He thinks Dallas will lighten his load and that is why the record is "safe." He also admited he wanted to keep his record. All and all he sounded like a pretty decent guy. Anyone wanting to punch him in the face or bad mouth him should listen to the interview in context, its uncalled for.

Stop bringing facts into internet he-man rants.
