It was interesting to see Zeke's carries get limited in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. I was screaming for him to get more carries after he torched Pitt on the 83 yard screen pass-- and then I realized they were saving him up for the 4th quarter.

I think that is a great strategy for Zeke actually. Use him in the first quarter to score early and get a solid lead, and then let him ice the game in the 4th qtr when teams are worn down. His two big runs in the 4th were beautiful to watch-- but how much of it was due to the Pitt DL being absolutely worn out?
that would be a good plan, but I think he was pulled due to the effects of the long run.

Finally. Glad an athlete is honest and says he doesn't want his record broken.

Your move Zeke.

He's been saying that for awhile now, matter of fact, when Adrian Peterson was chasing his record he flat out said that he did not want Peterson to break his record.

I'd like to see him get it but i'd rather him be 100% in the post season.

What an animal Ezekiel Elliot is. My gosh.

Max Kellerman claims that Ezekiel Elliott is not better than Todd Gurly because Gurly has to fight through a terrible line. His logic is off, unless you're Barry Sanders, how does one succeed without great run blocking?

I thought Gurley was better too before I saw Zeke maintain the same explosiveness he had in college in the NFL.

This is my opinion.

Gurley is the better athlete. Ezekiel Elliot is the better runningback.

Elliot just has elite everything.

Gurley doesn't. Gurley is awesome btw but he doesn't have the instincts that Zeke does for the position.

I would agree with this. Watch Morris behind this line, not even close to what Elliot is doing.

Arguments about who is better based around line play are fruitless because they can't be proven backs xwitch places while still in their prime.

For example, the argument could have been made against DeMarco Murray that his success in 2014 was because of the Dallas offensive line, and it looked that way last year when he floundered in Philly. However, he's got 930 yards this year with the Titans and averaging better (4.9 compared to 4.7) than he did here in 2014.

If Zeke stays healthy and at least wins the rushing title, he would be the first rookie to lead the NFL in rushing since Edgerrin James in 1999.

SIAP...

Of the six remaining opponents, only the Giants (#8) and Vikings (#13) are in the upper half of rush defense in the league.

Of the top half, Zeke has already ran against Ravens (#1), Packers (#6), Giants (#8), Steelers (#9) and Bears (#12).

If we throw out the Giants game, on the premise that practically everyone acknowledges he was really figuring some things out in the first couple of games, he's averaged 127 yards/gm on defenses that constitute the best that the league has to offer.

Count me with those who think it's all downhill from here, as long as he and his O-line stay healthy. He will break the record.
