His back was not to the staffer. He turned and the staffer initiated contact AND extended his arm. So, it's worth noting that the staffer was out of line even if nothing happens to him or the team.
It looked to me like a "Get out of the way." move, as opposed to some lame attempt at retribution.

You're not wrong. But you have to have a line somewhere. In my opinion, it has to be on not putting your hands on another teams' players. Still, I don't know what, or even if they should, do something about it. I'd rather see a hefty fine for the helmet to helmet on Amari.
