Stupid Green Bay game. When the game came on for me there were 8 seconds left in the first.

i thought it was hilarious how Kurt Menefee came on after the end of regulation in the GB / Minn game and very succinctly explained the NFL rules showing the games and how they would go to Cowboys / Giants but keep us updated on GB / Minn.. And they just stayed on the GB / Minn game until the very end, EPIC FAIL

I missed some of it until Sunday Ticket finally un-blacked out the game until Fox switched.

Here in Austin they did not switch to the Cowboys game until after the Packers/Vikings game was over. They(the media) don't like the Cowboys here. They will usually preempt Cowboys pre-season games to show Houston Texans pre-season games at least once every year.

I got a raw deal here in Pennsylvania as well....one small tip though: if you have the Sunday Ticket and your local station isn't showing the game, and the Sunday Ticket channel is blacked out, you can still view the game in real time on the "game mix" station (which you should have if you have the Ticket). The only drawback is the game will share your TV screen with like 5 other games (they'll each have their own little box). Not the best but better than nothing. That was what I did until Fox switched broadcasts.

I think it depends on the market. In Houston, the Texans played a home game, so I did not get an early game on Fox. I think that's where these rules apply. They were required to go to the start of the Cowboys game. Unless you're in the primary market slot, you will have to watch the end of the early game. This is the main reason why they delayed the start of the late games on double headers by 10 minutes. However, with the dumb OT rules, 10 minutes might not be enough!

I found this on Wikipedia - If 4:25 p.m. arrives, and the early game is ongoing, the primary affiliate (all games) and secondary affiliates (road games) are required to cut off the early game and switch to the start of the local team's game. Additional affiliates, including secondary affiliates for home games, may also request to cut off an early game for a nearby team's late start. This is common in Texas where many affiliates which are not considered secondary markets by the NFL still switch out of early games in order to get to the start of a 4:25 Dallas Cowboys game.

Reading that entire Wiki page gave me a headache. They really need to reconsider all these rules.

So much for the HYPE of "America's Game of The Week".... I know, they do that every week. One would think that since they are advertising that. That game would take precedence over the other games.. But, with the NFL.Rules are rules. ahhahahaahahahhahahah

I was sooo pissed about this. Why the hell would I living in Austin give a rats *** about Green Bay and Minnesota? And to top it off, neither of the two crap *** teams would step up and make a play to win the game. Had to watch the full 15 minutes (football time) go by and end in a tie.

Screw you fox in Austin, way to give your customers what they want. Idiots.

I missed it, but not because of the Green Bay Minnesota game.

My wife comes home at 3:30 with firewood. It's cold in Texas....

I'm getting ready to watch the game,,,

She puts some firewood in the fireplace and starts to try and light it. She is born and raised Texan, so she has no idea how long it takes to try and get damp firewood to burn. I already know what I have to do. Get some fire starter logs from the store....

It sad. But I had to make that call. Say, wait until after the game??? No way....do you know how stubborn crazy and unreasonable a Texan woman can be???

So i made that audible......"go ahead, get in car and take care this, pronto!!!!!!" And that's what I did.

Cost me the 1st qrt, But I got to watch the rest of the game in peace....

Thank goodness for DirecTv or I would of missed it as well.

I have DirecTV and Sunday Ticket and still didn't get most of the first quarter because it was supposed to be shown on my local Fox station. They automatically black out the Sunday Ticket channel to force you to watch it on the local channel. If the previous game goes into overtime -- or, in this case, if the station gets SWITCHED to an overtime game -- and it doesn't end before the late game starts, you can't watch the late game until the OT game ends or DirecTV finally gets around to unblocking the Sunday Ticket channel. That's why I always hate it when we play in the second game of a network doubleheader -- there's always a risk of not being able to watch the beginning of the game.

I'm in Green Bay and of course was held hostage with the GB/Minn. game to the bitter end. The worst part was that there was literally 10 mins or more of commercials before they finally cut to the Dallas game. Since it was a "home" game here, I could not access the Dallas game on NFLST until it was over.

The NFL blackout rules are so lame. I have never fully understood the reasoning (money related I am sure) of the home team only getting 2 games.
