I'd rather see SD or Balt than Pitt. If Pitt makes you can mark down #6 for them and the refs. :(

With the AFC teams remaining, my #1 choice would be for the Chargers to get to the Super Bowl and then win it, but not if the Cards get in. After the Chargers I would go for the Steelers over the Ravens. If the Steelers win #6, so what, maybe that egomaniac Jerry Jones needs some humility.

Right now, I am hoping for a Chargers-Cardinals Super Bowl. One of the upsets I predicted was the Cardinals over the Panthers. I do not know if the Cards will hold on, but I am hoping they do. Now if the Cards get to the Super Bowl, I will hope they win it also.

Sorry but I just can't root for the Steelers to win anything.

FLACCO SAYS HE ALMOST “PULLED AN ORLOVSKY”

Posted by Mike Florio on January 10, 2009, 8:22 p.m.

Even if Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky never takes another snap, he has cemented his NFL legacy.

Whenever a quarterback runs out of his own end zone with the ball in his hands, the quarterback will be referred to as having “pulled an Orlovsky.”

We know this because we’re told that Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco said during a post-game press conference that he almost “pulled an Orlovsky.”

A replay aired by CBS after the Ravens’ 13-10 win showed that Flacco did not step out of the end zone during a fourth-quarter play that would have cut Baltimore’s lead to 10-9 and given Tennessee the ball with less than eight minutes to play.

Meanwhile, let’s all pause to enjoy the moment that spawned the newest addition to the NFL lexicon.

He did not step out of the end zone.

The clock was on zero for at least two seconds.

Peter King:

• McAulay didn't see Flacco's foot hit the back line with 7:35 left in the game, which would have been a safety, obviously. Flacco rolled to his right in the end zone on 3rd-and-10 from his own 1, and he came close to stepping on the end line as he threw an incomplete pass. Jeff Fisher came up screaming that Flacco stepped out of bounds. It's not a reviewable play, and McAulay said it was his call and his judgment that Flacco didn't step out. "There was green, or whatever the color was, between the end line and his foot,'' McAulay said. Flacco was pretty sure he didn't step out, too. "I think my foot wrapped around and came back inbounds,'' Flacco said. "I almost pulled a Dan Orlovsky.'' That, of course, was in reference to one of the dumbest plays in quarterback history, when the Detroit quarterback stepped a couple of yards over the end line at Minnesota this year and kept going, blithely, like nothing was wrong.

How is that not reviewable?

my cable and internet went out today for a few hours......during the first game. i mean the game would come on for 10 or so seconds, then go off for a few minutes, and repeat for a while. the problem was fixed by the time the Cards game came back on. My internet didnt start working until about 30 minutes ago.

I could have sworn he stepped out and even asked myself out loud. I was surprised the announcers didn't take a look or say something. The Ravens may have gotten away with a few calls but what the hell??? A Jeff Fisher team with two weeks to prepare for a game and coughing up that many penalties and turnovers???? They deserved to lose regardless.

The picture in this thread is from the "front view" and it does appear that he stepped out. However, on the post game show they showed a replay from "rear view" and you can clearly see that his foot never touched the white.

It was a good call...........the delay of game should have been called, it was on 0 for a good 2 seconds before the snap. I dont know how the refs could have missed that.

As far as the Titans getting screwed this game....please.

The Titans turned the ball over 3 times inside the Raven's 25 yard line. I dont care if you are playing pop-warner ball, you have 3 turnovers in the red zone you are going to lose to almost any team in the NFL, maybe the Lions the sole exception.

Titans beat themselves, the refs didnt "give the game" to the Ravens.
