he never has been better or healthy

He was better in 2013. He has had chronic toe problems but that injury is a bad one for a RB. He's still played in 76% of games and Murray 88%. Neither one has been a paragon of health. Their YPC aren't that different esp if you look at their better seasons. They are two different backs though. Murray had the one big year that DMC hasn't duplicated. Otherwise they aren't that different injury or stat wise.

If Darren's toe is healed then he has a chance esp with this offense and OL of having a good year or better. Murray may have a better year. Which ever one is the healthier has the best chance of having a better year.

No. So many assume he would only take 8 million a year. But right after the GB loss he was still hanging around. The right offer with guaranteed money might have gotten him at 7,

But even at 8 he was still affordable, and all the moves still get done like Hardy.

All the "experts" on this board are speculating only about his future, his ability, meat on the bone, and a whole host of other conjectures about the question marks which now make up the RBBC.

Play makers are not jettisoned in their prime. FO over-thought this, just like this board has.

After watching Murray last night, to me...., he looks slow. I know he averaged around 5 ypc but he is going to have problems this year. I'm not seeing a lot of push in the middle of the eagles line and it is forcing him to change direction and run sideways.

Matthews looks way better and it will be a point of contention in Philly.

DMac looks much more explosive at this point.

as has been pointed out ad nauseum, the great majority of RBs that get the number of carries Murray got last year have a bad year following it. and in most cases are never as good again. The boys played the percentages in the way they treated Murray and I agree with them.

Yep, Murray is a part time player that in a contract year played full time and was beaten like a rented mule. Now he is someone else's part time player who is sucking down an extremely large salary of a consistent full time player. The laugh is on Philly, just wait.
