Did they ever license the NFL Ticket out to more than one source?

since ATT bought them out I don't thing anyone will be getting any deals
I got a deal. $40 off per month for 12 months. Tell them you got a better offer from Comcast and you want free Sunday Ticket or you are canceling DirecTV. They may give you a deal that more than offsets Sunday Ticket costs.

Sorry to be obtuse about this...I finally cut the cable wire last month and have been looking for a streaming service for the NFL. I live in the Metroplex, so can get OTA broadcasts of Cowboys games, but was at a loss for other content (Redzone in particular). It sounds like there are a few possible choices for those of us without cable/satellite, but I just wanted to see if I could ask for a bit more wisdom?

1. Streaming Sunday Ticket (possibly with a student discount?)
2. Streaming these games for other established online sources (Kodi?)
3. Streaming games through less established sources (reddit?)

I set up a PC connected to my TV so have access to online content via that, if I can determine a service that is both good quality and wallet-friendly. Are the above listed choices the primary ones? Is the student discount difficult to obtain if I can find a student to leverage?

Thanks for any info and insight you guys can provide!

I wish more than one provider had NFL ticket, it's such a rip-off. I used to get it every year, and every year I would have to call Directv and threaten to cancel something. That usually got me at least half off, and one year they agreed to give it for free if I signed another one year contract. Last year I couldn't get a deal, so I canceled it. I barely missed it. Living in the DC area, almost all Cowboys games are on live anyway. There were 3 games that weren't on tv here last season, so for those I just went out to BWW and had some wings and beer with my football. Still cheaper than the ticket.

I have buffering issues with that thing and I end up only using it for exodus.

You got a good source?
Pay more for high speed internet and no more issues. Spend a little money dude.

Has anyone used sportsmania.eu? It seems like a good deal especially if the games are in HD. I used Kodi last year and most of the streams are pretty bad. Especially since I was using a laptop hooked to a 75" tv.

How is it a rip off? It costs about $16.00 a Sunday. Go to a bar and it will cost you 3 times that much. It's worth every penny, especially if you like to watch other games. That being said, DTV will usually offer discounts if you complain.

I could go to a bar for far less than $16 let alone $48.

But I prefer the comfort of my home and while I didn't technically get ST for free this year, I did get $50 off per month for 12 months plus another $16 off for 6 months. So basically I'm getting free ST plus $28 off per month for the next year. It's still expensive. I can get a bundle with Google Fiber for nearly the same price as just the TV service with DirecTV.

What source do you use?

Mostly Sports Devil but, there are others out there I use. If your streaming and your nat
table is small on your router you could get buffering problems.

I've had no problem with HD streams on Kodi even shooting them to my big screen. You need a big time video card and lots of ram to hold
all that data coming from the source.

You don't need a big time GPU or RAM for kodi.

You do if you are trying to stream HD sports. In SD I agree totally with you.
No, you don't. I've used direct rip Blu rays which are way more taxing than any HD stream, on a $200 chromebook. It requires very little resources, due to VAAPI and VDPAU.

Okay, I see where you are getting the throughput. I'm streaming mine to Raspberry PI3 in every room from my
routers and PC. I have hi-speed Fios which is a help.

You can buy the online package for $200. It work flawless on my Verizon mobile phone on their 4G LTE coverage. But for some reason was extremely choppy on laptops and desktops. This year I'm going to buy it and see of I can cast it on my tv using Chrome Cast. Also have anyone confirm that would work? I know when I tried to use MHL the app block it

Anytime a business offers you a 50% discount if you complain, that a pretty good indicator that they're overcharging. Honestly, I'm tired of the game with Directv. You have to keep calling threatening to cancel until you get somebody on the other end that actually gives a crap, and then hopefully you get at least half off of the Sunday Ticket. The thing that really pisses me off about Directv, is that even if you pay $270 for the Sunday Ticket, you still don't get the Red Zone channel. If you want that, you have to cough up another $90! Everyone I know that has cable or Fios gets the Red Zone channel included in their cable package at no extra charge, but Directv customers who pay $270 for the NFL Ticket don't get it.

Sadly with all of my complaining, I still might pony up and pay this season. My son is on a travel baseball team, and they play a double header every friggin Sunday. Since Directv isn't charging extra to stream the games anymore, it might be worth it to be able to watch Cowboys games at the baseball field.

Are you just sitting there drinking water? A few beers, wings or burger is $30-$40.00 with tip.
