Going down at the one would be asinine when you can go up by a TD

I have to agree, going down at the one instead of running in for a TD would have been stupid, you never know what could have happened on the next play. A holding call, false start, fumbled snap, a shank, or even a block.

Too much chit could go wrong to just turn down points like that.

The Steelers have a reputation for tough defense. Tough defenses don't let the other team score because every play is an opportunity for a great defense to have a great defensive play like force a fumble or INT or 3rd down sack.

A coach that tells the defense to let the opponent score is actually telling them they don't deserve to be trusted.

All you have to do is watch closely. No one on the Steelers pulled up as they were being blocked. The Cowboy offensive line and TEs all carried their assignments out perfectly.
