I'd like this post to serve as a place for the Romo haters to say that Romo changed their mind on him. The guy played an absolutely unreal game.

All over the media and talk shows, message board, forums, etc I'm seeing fans and media personalities come to the realization that Romo truly IS a generational talent at QB.

Have any of you changed your minds on him?

25-of-36 for 506 yards (14.1 ypa, 20.2ypc) 5td 1int. 92.1 QBR.
He had an absolutely brilliant game. And then he did what he always does, and I don't know why. Back in the 90s I used to think the same of Jim Kelly....he got the Buffalo Bills to the Super Bowl 4x in a row (no other team has ever done that, and it's nothing to sneeze at!) and they lost all 4 of them ... 2 against our Cowboys. If he could have gotten them there 3 or 4 more times, they probably would have lost those games too because I think it just got into his head. Maybe that's all it is with Romo...something bad gets in his head when a game is on the line. Kelly eventually went to the HOF. Romo won't until he can at least GET us to the SB. And I don't know if he can.

Again... still.... The defense let us down. In what universe do you score 48 points and it's not enough.

It almost wasn't enough for the Bronco's either. We were TIED 48 to 48, before the choke interception by Romo.

My opinion on him is unchanged.

I think he's a wonderfully creative and productive player with a firm grasp of the offense who is undone at the worst possible times by a voice inside of him reminding him that he was an undrafted free agent who doesn't belong where he is.

Unfortunately, Romo is more likely to end up a tragic hero than he is a champion.

A terrific player who maximized his gifts and compiles outstanding statistics, but undone by a lack of true confidence at his core.

JMO.

The super bowl would be a dream come true.. at this point I would settle for some playoff appearances.

Yep, it was the ribs, they were much better and it showed, well; until the last series then he obviously had a complete relapse.

Seriously, I've seen every great performance by cowboy Qb ever, and yesterday was a top 5 all-time showing. Until Tony showed up. That's why we'll never see a super bowl with Romo, he never put together a string of do or die games and not spit the bit. Please show me how you could feel otherwise.

That is my rear as well
He needs a great HC and/or OC to maximize his potential
Give him Jim harbaugh or Sean Peyton and I think he can win a SB

With coaches like Garrett and Callahan I am not convinced he can do this

It didn't change my mind, as I have always been a Romo supporter. That does not mean that I don't get frustrated on occasion when he makes a bonehead mistake. But all of the haters need to realize that the pick yesterday was not one of those mistakes. After taking a sack on first down, it was 2nd and 16 from the 14 yard line. All he was trying to do on 2nd down was make a play. Some say, oh he should have taken a sack instead. Really? If he doesn't try to somehow pick up that 1st down, we are most likely punting from our endzone and Peyton gets the ball beyond the 50 with 2 minutes. Game over anyway. I am not blaming my quarterback for trying to win the game and the defensive player making on hell of a play. It's not like he threw the ball right into the defenders hands. Choke...give me a break. He left everything out on the field yesterday and came up short, mostly because the defense let him down. Maybe they should try playing for 60 minutes.

Agree. We go conservative there and Peyton drives down for the winning score and both he and Garrett are getting roasted on the grill today .
He went down trying to make a play.
The next four game will make or break this season. The defense improves or else we are history.

No, he will always be the " yeah, but.. " quarterback. He can escape, make a great throw, have great stats, but in the critical, crucial moment, the turnover comes. I said to myself when they showed Romo on the sideline, warming up before the last series....he is going to turn it over - I just know it.

Cowboys are a perpetual mediocre team that will never win anything with this group of players.

The game was a microcosm of Romo's career.

I agree........u beleiabale QB play, he carried the team. Just outstanding.....

Until it counts.

Why throw that ball. ???? I've asked myself that question one too many times in Romos career......

Tony made some SMH plays yesterday. Athletic plays few can make.

Phil Simms was sure impressed.

Not at all. I know what we got in him. I would just like for once to see him with a defense that is capable. this team would be dangerous with a top 10 defense, but we will probably never see that in his career and that's a shame. If Jerry was smart he would trade Romo to the Texans or Bengals who need a real QB. I would hate it but he could win a SB if he had a real defense in place.

My opinion is about the same. He is a good quarterback that plays well during the game, but more often then not he has bad plays at the end of the game. We lost the game because our defense, but the timing of the pick at the end of the game certainly hurt.

Yesterday pretty much cemented my opinion that gunslinger Romo > bus driver Romo. He's never going to be that cerebral pocket passer ala Manning and trying to turn him into one just neuters what he does best. If these are the types of performances he can turn in by letting him loose, I'm now ok with the head scratcher interceptions and the occassional stinker games where he goes off the reservation and turns the ball over a ton of times. This team is going to go nowhere with bus driver Romo anyway.

The gambling instinct that led to the game ending interception yesterday is the same gambling instinct that got the 500+ yds 5+ TDs performance. I no longer think you can separate the two. And I'm finally ok with it. Plus gunslinger Romo is way more fun to watch anyway and I'm sure it terrifies defenses more.

Absolutely not. Romo has played like an elite QB in the past. I always knew he had it in him. The end result is the same though. As i got ready to watch the final minutes I said to myself, "well it's about time for a Romo blunder." He didn't disappoint. I'm not surprised when this happens anymore. He's a QB that will break your heart. You see him play and you think that here is a guy that can take you to the SB and then he brings you back down to Earth.

the ticket was talking about all of romo's stats he has accomplished. there was no pressure on romo in this game. everyone thought wed get killed anyway so he had nothing to lose. he played out of his mind and when crunch time came what happened?

in 4 more years we'll still be saying the same thing. like we have been. for years...

Nope, not one bit. He's still a great quarterback that is constantly having to make up for the failings of either his Oline or Wrs that run wrong routes or don't know their spot in the formation, or unreliable RBs or a defense that can't hold a lead. But above all, Romo has to be quarterback AND carry the burdens of the owner's desire to sell a product.

You mean when two of his own linemen interfered with his throw? I'm not saying it was a good decision, but when one trips you and the other bumps into you during your throw, it doesn't matter who the target is anymore.

2nd and 16 you have to make a play even if your lineman is standing on your foot. You cant take a sack and go 3rd and 24. Broncos had all their time outs give it back to Manning and you lose.
Dont see the choke. My Qb gives me 48 and I take every day twice on Sunday.
ulcrules1 you have never played the position you have no idea.

What else can they talk about? All we have with Romo is stats. He chokes at the worst possible moments. I can assure you that it didn't matter if you were a Romo hater or a Romosexual, when we got the ball with 2:50 on the clock and in a perfect position to end the game, you KNEW this interception was coming. It's the definition of insanity, do the same thing over and over and expect different results. We all knew how the movie was going to end.
