Did yesterday change any of your minds on Romo?

Dont see the choke.

You must not have saw a wide open Murray either did you? If he throws to Murray there (Which Peyton would have done) then Murray easily picks up 8+ yards and then you are in a manageable 3rd and 8. Instead his throws to a rookie further down the field in traffic while off balance.

You mean when two of his own linemen interfered with his throw? I'm not saying it was a good decision, but when one trips you and the other bumps into you during your throw, it doesn't matter who the target is anymore.

Escobar was covered ....

Use your check done. Murray who was wide open and it would've made it 3rd and 6.

That's basic 101 football....

I'd like this post to serve as a place for the Romo haters to say that Romo changed their mind on him. The guy played an absolutely unreal game.

All over the media and talk shows, message board, forums, etc I'm seeing fans and media personalities come to the realization that Romo truly IS a generational talent at QB.

Have any of you changed your minds on him?

25-of-36 for 506 yards (14.1 ypa, 20.2ypc) 5td 1int. 92.1 QBR.

No. I thought he was damn good, and even great a lot of the time, and yesterday only confirmed that.

Yesterday also confirmed that he has to be Jesus Christ in cleets and perfect for this team to win. This defense is awful. It's worse than I even thought.

Leary and his defender not only shielded Romo's left side (where both Murray and even Witten were available options) but they were practically in his lap before he had time to release the ball. It is so easy for people to see things in slow motion and in multiple screen shots and provide hindsight corrections.

If Romo is provided enough space to step into his throw, that is a completion to Escobar for close to first down or more. Escobar had his man beat. And if Escobar goes to the ball instead of passively waiting for it, then at worst, it is an incompletion.

Not sure if you have noticed or not. But that may have been the best QB in all of NFL history. And they have rolled up historic numbers this season.

The broncos D gave up 48. And that team is on its way to the SB ........

He's got to be thinking about making a mistake rather than leading the team down the field to win the game. It happens too often, it's got to be swimming around in his dome.

Why would it? I already knew he was great.

This. He was incredible yesterday. I've been watching football for 35 years and don't know of many QBs who could do what he did yesterday. It's beyond unfortunate that he tripped over a foot and had an OL get in front of him so he couldn't make another excellent throw to cap off an all-time great performance. IMO, anyone who actually understands football and quarterbacking appreciates how special this guy is and has been throughout his career.

Yet they are very beatable. Once they have home field in the playoffs they will be hard to stop

Broncos look a lot like the 2011 Packers. The Packers ended up with the 2nd most points in the history of the NFL and the 2nd worst defense (by yardage) in NFL history. They were bounced right out of the playoffs.

A team HAS to be able to play sound defense when the weather gets bad (which it will in Denver just like it did in Green Bay).

I suspect this Broncos team will end up much like Green Bay did -- they'll set all sorts of offensive records, go 15-1 or 16-0, and then be bounced before they get the Superbowl.

That is my rear as well
He needs a great HC and/or OC to maximize his potential
Give him Jim harbaugh or Sean Peyton and I think he can win a SB

With coaches like Garrett and Callahan I am not convinced he can do this

Please keep your rear out of this. :D

Yet he'll never be in a category with the great ones until he proves he can win big games. Like it or not.

I just wish Romo would throw the ball away sometimes, but it just isnt in his DNA. In the first quarter he made play after play running around buying time to attack down field. I just wish he would realize late in games, it is better to throw it away, he needs to have the same trust in himself to reset and get the first down on the next play as he does trying to run and making something out of nothing.

He played a masterful game, I just hope JG doesnt go back to the dink and dunk conservative offense next week. Dallas should come into every game trying to attack down field like they did this week.

Except his life. Actually JC is a good comparison. Romo is always the one that has to be sacrificed for everyone else's sins, not just his own.

Which was sort of the point. That he'd have to be Jesus Christ in cleets to help this horrific defense win.

Yeah. And maybe you'll notice that Romo played pretty damn well against that Defense that you're putting in the Superbowl after 5 weeks. I do know that Peyton Manning is one of the greatest, and in my opinion the greatest, QBs to ever play the game and he played our defense exactly like he believed he would. In case you didn't know it that defense allowed Eli Manning and Phillip Rivers to slice and dice them for over 400+ yards and multi touchdown games as well. So yesterday was hardly just the fact that the defense was playing against the greatest QB of all time. This defense allows any decent QB to absolutely SHRED them.

If they'd been beasting on everyone else and Peyton came in and just happened to destroy them then i'd agree with you. It's because it was Peyton. But I knew before the game that Peyton would play like he did yesterday because that defense was DESTROYED by Eli and Phillip already.

I hate to break this news to you, or anyone else who hasn't been paying a whole lot of attention, but this defense sucks. Period. I'd like to take a moment to point out that Risen was 100% on the dot correct about the biggest problem with this defense being that we don't have enough talent on the D-line. I'll be the first to admit I road him about it because I felt that yes he was right that the D-line needed help but I thought the secondary was even more of a problem on this team. But I was wrong. The D-line needed, and continues to need, a lot more help and until that happens it won't matter whose in that secondary.

It doesn't matter how good Carr plays out there because our D-Line can't get any rush. Get used to Romo having to put up these type of numbers against any good teams this year because this defense is going to be trashed all year.

That's what they said about Warren Moon, who currently resides in the Hall of Fame.

Tony is perceived as someone who can't win big games. He won't be in the hall without a ring. It's ridiculous to put him in that category at this point. And I don't believe moon should be in the hall. I don't want to bring race into it so ill stop right there.

Laughed the entire game....it was like an aberration.

Finally stopped being upset a few years back, just another typical Romo experience, said out loud what was about to happen. When Romo threw the INT it was lol time instead of crying time, over it before it happened.

Thanks Jerry! If it wasn't for 18 years of nothing it would be a lot harder to take.

No. I have not changed my mind. I have always realized that Romo had the ability to put up some off-the-chart numbers. But, I have also always realized that at critical moments its difficult to believe in him.
HE has made it that way.

He is a gunslinger. A gambler. And a damn good one.......

But in a tied ball game. With under two minutes left.....gunslinging will get u beat. Murray was wide open......use your check downs...

We needed a field goal and too run the clock down to 20 30 secs....that's what we needed to do....
