Diggs not expected to play Sunday

Sources: #Cowboys All-Pro CB Trevon Diggs will not play Sunday vs the Vikings.

This comes after what was described to me as a “great week of practice,” while multiple sources tell me the relationship between Diggs and the organization has “soured” and “been severed.”

Diggs, who last played Week 6 and has already been activated from IR, told reporters this week that he was “ready.”

He's out?
So ... there IS a chance!

Jerry and Stephen probably dont like him but remember, Jerry went on the radio last week and said he expected Diggs to play in Detroit. So to me, seems like this definitely is on the coaches which points back to Eberflus.

Earlier in the season, Diggs said he wanted to play more man than zone and we know this fool dc’s philosophy. To me, this is the issue thats going on behind the scenes and why they dont want to play him
Ok, yeah I'm picking up what you putting down.

One thing, people are assuming Diggs is the good corner he was a few years ago. But after that nasty knee injury, he may not be any good anymore.

If he’s still not playing it tells me he’s played his last snap in Dallas.

They’re keeping him off the field so that there is no chance he can claim injury when they designate him a June 1st cut.

100% agreed and why I've come to not like this coaching staff, especially the decisions being made by the top dog coaches with the decision makings.

In the scheme of things I’m more interested in Guyton and his ankle . Is he ready to go ? Minnesota will go after the QB . Need a LT to play well . Diggs is yesterdays news soon to be ex Cowboy .
Guyton is out again

He is about as reliable as Diggs

1000% correct IMO

Even if this cost us a huge game from the Vikings receivers, I'm good with it. This guy been making business decisions for years. From his deez nuts antics, to his selfishness this year because he was sulking about his buddy, he can get outta here. Don't need him. He's an entitled rear end. Counter productive to building a real team atmosphere.

Why is he on the team?
Cut him already!

I don't think this is the case. If it was, they could just cut him now. It's not that big of a dead cap, and they have plenty of space they don't intend to use. A June 1st cut next year doesn't make sense either. He'll be a 5M dead cap.

Paying him to sit on the bench all year makes zero sense unless cutting him is prohibitive. Which it isn't. Playing him could improve his trade value, as long as he's good enough to be out there. Sitting him as some form of punishment is just stupid.

You gotta think about it like this imagine going into an organization and you’re leading a team of 53 staff members and one of the highest paid senior managers is upset. You made a move with your competition and stop showing up to work to do his job.

Imagine you change from Microsoft to Mac and now this manager doesn’t even wanna learn the new system. He keeps using control V for paste when it just doesn’t work in the new system.

He showed some promise before so you give him a couple of weeks to get his stuff right six weeks later he comes back and he’s still hitting control V

At some point, you gotta let this sorry dude go - it’s probably better starting off with somebody from scratch but at least the guy from scratch is hitting the button in the way it’s supposed to be from the beginning
