News: Diggs out Sunday

Now the flip side of this is I don't like him missing this I don't hope that it's not a fake injury do you really blame him for giving up If he doesn't want to play for Matt Eberfluous I wouldn't either he's making this guy play zone he's a man guy they've been arguing back and forth in meetings from what I heard it's just rumor but there's a lot of heated conversations going on between the players and the DC maybe they had enough of it but do you really blame him for being angry about the defensive coordinators scheme this year?

I don't want a guy to quit and maybe the injuries are real but this is where you lose a locker room this how it starts so let's not let Matt off the hook Some of these players just no longer want to go out and play for him and this is like a protest...

I doubt that's the case. I think he probably fell down the stairs or something. Still, it's insane how this happens. Similar to what happened to Anthony Richardson.

Just dumb
We don't know what happened we don't know if this is real or not but I started thinking about this way late into this conversation what if this is him during the week in meetings he and Matt been arguing I don't think a lot of these players want to play this defense anymore and it's starting to get it where it's become very heated where it's A lot of discourse in the meetings and I think the team may have punished him during the Jets first quarter because things that were said..
.
He's been saying it he he's On record he doesn't like this defense I don't either no neither do you And if this is the case where he just doesn't want to play do you really blame him They're literally destroying this defense by playing the wrong scheme especially with our corners all being man corners And then they get criticized all week for not playing well and now they're feeling the pressure..

So sure a lot of what he's doing is considered when you do something at work where you speak out against your superiors.. You know insubordination I can see a lot of that going on this is where you lose the locker room this is where it starts I don't care what we think about this guy but I'm sure that locker room likes Trayvon seems like a likable guy as far as a soft spoken He and Parsons were really good friends..

But this could be the start of a Wade Wilson event except not as the head coach but as a defensive coordinator it's mutiny and it could just be the beginning the best way to do that fake injuries refuse to practice refused to play it's like a soft protest...

So we don't know the truth here he could have really slipped down the stairs or slipped in the tub we don't know it happens it could have happened.

I'll have strong opinions in here but my guess is if it is fake it might be warranted maybe this is the way you get the coordinator fired is the better players or at least with the better name start protesting and they're start having closed door meetings and nobody knows about and they say hey let's just start faking injuries and refused to practice or play..

I agree we don't know what happened like I said there was a baseball player played for the Rangers he was a pitcher It was actually a starter he blew his ACL out he said walking down the stairs and his dog ran under his feet he lost his steps and fell and blew his ACL out. Stranger things have happened but this could be a soft protest This could be insubordination and then refusing to play this defense anymore...

I don't think that's a reason not to get paid it had to be catastrophic in him not being on the team you don't lose paychecks because of a non football injury unless the team wants to they only have those clauses in there for suspensions off field infractions but other injuries I mean what's the difference you think you want to not get some kind of pay with workman's comp at work if you got in a car accident I mean what's the difference if he tripped and fell down the stairs or something who knows what happened He could have slipped in the tub I don't know it happens people have done stupid stuff I remember back might have been 15 years ago one of the Texas Rangers players says he was walking down the stairs his dog got under his feet he slipped down the stairs and blew his ACL out and missed that year..

Now I don't believe teams take money away unless it is something you shouldn't have been doing like some kind of hobby that's dangerous like snowboarding or wakeboarding or something like that maybe you know riding a motorcycle or a bike you know get in trouble off the field Those clauses are actually in contracts you can take game checks away for that but just simply having a little accident I don't think they're taking money away.
Teams tend to bake in clauses to forfeit bonuses or pay due to non-football injuries or moral behavior clauses

And most of those have been taken out because the players have held out recently for a lot of that They've gotten smart in their contracts i'm just telling you you still have to offer workmans comp You do realize it's still a business they they still are considered employees and the Cowboys are considered a Corporation there are rules you can't just take someones paycheck away when they have a contract and like I said yes non football injuries if it was something extreme that you weren't supposed to be doing not accident at home not a car accident that was just random and had no negligence involved you do realize you can't legally just take a man's paycheck.

Be Ask you this why do you care what why do you care what Jerry has to pay out or why Diggs is getting paid or not why does it matter to fans why why is this so important that you have to actually be so passionate about it I don't care about their contracts at all I don't care how much money they have how much money they get or what clauses are in their deals I really don't I just don't so this doesn't matter it's a non issue but no I don't think they'll take money out of his paycheck for slipping down the stairs at home or whatever happened.....

Nah y'all remember the Rico mysterious illness last year? It's probably the same play to open up a roster spot for some of the returning guys this week.

So what did Trevon do? Trip down the stairs? Get hit in the head with a soup can after opening a kitchen cabinet? Fall head first out of bed?

This team.

In this case, nothing will happen and we do not know what actually happened yet.

To your point though, I remember this happening with the Cardinals in May.

“The Arizona Cardinals are not obligated to pay Murphy-Bunting’s 2025 salary now since he was injured away from the team in non-football activity.”

That’s a classic use of the NFI (Non-Football Injury) clause: it lets a team deny or reduce pay when a player is injured off the field.

I’ve never been more confident that a guy will be cut after the season. Cutting him as a June 1 saves the team $15 million next season, and will count less than $3 million per season in dead money in 26 and 27.

Lil Diggs probably ran towards him for a hug and he dodged the contact and hit his head on the fire place mantel.

Hmmmm… wonder if it’s a “fake” injury to keep him out for a possible trade next week? Anyway, don’t see that it’s much of a setback for the club as he has been atrocious!
