Diggs Really Should Have Played

So, why didn't Diggs play?

Could he have helped tonight.

Defense still gave up 34 points.

That's a whole lot. We're still 5 players away, at least, on defense.

They should have squashed whatever the beef was. And Diggs should have played.

Egos got in the way on this one, and Jerral should have been the bigger man because what was best for the team was Diggs playing....
Diggs sucked when he was playing, but I don't think he gives up the 70 yard bomb that Carson got burnt on.

Egos got in the way for sure, especially Eberflus.

Don't know if you noticed, but when we had JJ McCarthy in 4th and 3 or 4, Eberfuls send only 3 rushers instead of blitzing the young QB.

We should of been blitzing big time against the young man to force bad decisions. They were successfully blitzing us all night.

Why doesn’t he come clean about his “at-home incident”?

Everyone knows both sides are playing a game, but Jerry has the cards. Diggs knows it.

Should have kept his mouth shut, his eyes open, and focused on football.

Personally, I think players who get paid and start making all these “business decisions” on the field deserve to be benched. He’s like Pickens. Million dollar skills and a ten cent head.

They're cutting him at the end of the season and they're not risking a re injury..

It’s a trend with Flus. Early pressure has success, and so he backs off, of course. Several games like that this year. Rushing 3 there was idiotic.

Yeah, this is Jerry being petty likely over his ties with Michael.
IDK. It's hard to side with Diggs on this one, too.

If I paid some guy that much money, and then he skipped out rehab and his leadership role during the offseason, I'd want him gone, too.

It's not really petty to have basic standards.

Diggs should have been a team player and none of this whould of happened.

Also, if Diggs really did have a version of microfracture surgery, it seems like he should have been out longer. Maybe his knee is done and he just can't play anymore?

Spot on. Diggs got paid and got soft…with a garbage attitude. I’d be pissed if I was Jerry or Schotty.

Maybe it's just me and getting all my opinions on a message board and media, but all the stupid secrecy this year and others on players who are on the bleep list is tiresome. Feels like other teams don't go through this. Schotty in charge sort of reminds me of Garrett cleaning up Wade's leftovers. We all saw how well that went.

He was pissed that they traded his buddy. He probably made fun of the golden boy, too, while he was at it.

Oh, I get that. But he still should have played.

He's stashed in there. So what is the scoop on the whole thing? It's a mystery, which means it's likely some in-house drama.
give it time, jerry or stephen will go on radio and run their trap about him like they did with ceedee and GP.

Your hoping to get 21yr old Diggs back....Sadly that dude left the building 3 years ago. The bridges have been burnt.....time to move on. Dude has checked out way too many times to be counted on.
Next stop Wisconsin.......it will be glorious seeing Parsons and Diggs reunited.

I'm trying to figure it out. I know what it looks like. But it still hasn't been specifically stated, which is bizarre. So I'm only left with what it looks like: a battle of egos.

If that's the case, and I think it is, then Diggs should play. I think he needs Al Harris, to be honest. But he should have played.

I don't know who plays well this year because the scheme always leaves the offensive players wide open. Those plays down the middle of the secondary really irk me because you're just giving them that.

The short answer is the Cowboys don't want to risk Diggs get an injury settlement of any kind. The relationship has been exhausted. I dont anticipate seeing Diggs on the field again but I guess time will tell.

What this team needs the most: edge rusher, safety, and two LBs.

We also need depth and to move on from Hooker. Wilson could still play if he had the right role. But he doesn't work in Eberflus' silly scheme.

I think Fluff is partly why Little Michael departed. He wouldn't get as many sacks in his "system."

Well, it appears that he felt better about rehabbing on his own with his own trainers. Now, he's being paid by the team and should have followed what the team told him to do, but it's also his body and I can't blame him for doing what he thought was best for himself.

I don't think he thought he wasn't being a team player. I think he thought he was doing what he needed to get back the quickest. Based on the rehabs of players like Michael Gallup and Terrence Steele, I can understand him thinking that.
