Diggs Really Should Have Played

So, why didn't Diggs play?

Could he have helped tonight.

Defense still gave up 34 points.

That's a whole lot. We're still 5 players away, at least, on defense.

They should have squashed whatever the beef was. And Diggs should have played.

Egos got in the way on this one, and Jerral should have been the bigger man because what was best for the team was Diggs playing....
Egos got in the way or Cooper, Parsons and Diggs

Apparently his attitude is keeping him out. And I’m all for that. Accountability.

He pissed Jerry off by not rehabbing with the team. It's been downhill from there.

At the cost of a terrible secondary that just cost the team a playoff berth. Brilliant!
Well with that logic why trade Micah then, right?? Dallas isn't eating a boat load of guaranteed money risking re injury on a guy they're cutting, and you're not gullible enough to still believe this team was making the playoffs, this team was always fools gold all season!!

This is another one of those coaches decisions that baffles me. I am at the point where I simply do not trust them to make good decisions when it comes to the players.

Every time I see Flournoy make another play, it makes me wonder how many other players have the Cowboys been mistaken? Flournoy does the little things that you wish they all did, like catching the football and willing his way to the 1st down. Why wasn't this guy playing last year? And remember, they waived Flournoy back in August then re-signed him to the practice squad. They kept Tolbert over him.

This petty squabble with Diggs is just more Cowboys foolishness. They ruined their relationship with Parsons and now Diggs.

I have no idea what Diggs has left, but I would love to find out. Is Diggs going to be worse than Carson? or Bridges? or even Reddy Stewart? They are virtually out of the playoffs this year. If he is healthy, let him play. Let's find out what he can do it anything so going into next season we can make a smart decisions.

But instead, Dallas will continue to hold out their grudge and Diggs will be released. He'll probably wind up playing for another team where he will be a solid CB.
Flournoy catches the ball and falls down.

They're playing this so bad. Need to play him in man the the rest of the season on get that trade value up with they seriously want to move on.

Diggs hurt Jerry's feelings siding with Micah during the holdout and calling out Eberflus' crap scheme.
Remember Beas siding with Dez and the receiving corp?

I always thought Diggs was going to need to skip this year and come back in the off season. They tried bringing him back and he just gets hurt pushing himself. He's not better than the guys who are playing.

What this team needs the most: edge rusher, safety, and two LBs.

We also need depth and to move on from Hooker. Wilson could still play if he had the right role. But he doesn't work in Eberflus' silly scheme.

I think Fluff is partly why Little Michael departed. He wouldn't get as many sacks in his "system."
It was pure Jerry and his negotiating tactics. You simply can't refuse to talk to the player's agent, period, end of story.

Well, it appears that he felt better about rehabbing on his own with his own trainers. Now, he's being paid by the team and should have followed what the team told him to do, but it's also his body and I can't blame him for doing what he thought was best for himself.

I don't think he thought he wasn't being a team player. I think he thought he was doing what he needed to get back the quickest. Based on the rehabs of players like Michael Gallup and Terrence Steele, I can understand him thinking that.
Is the right to choose your own doctor also been negotiated away in the CBA?

He did look better the first couple of games and then regressed. He was looking slow and unable to change direction. But with all the fuss about his rehab he probably was forced to.

Did yall not watch Diggs play earlier this year? If that's who he is now, he's cooked. He's had significant injuries. Not everyone comes back and is good again. It's a tough sport.

I don't love the Cowboys front office. But everyone in the organization including players and coaches has seen how he's looked at practice. If he looked good, people would be clamoring for him to play.

There's no point in putting him out there if he's not good anymore and jeopardizing getting out of that contract next year. It seems like a simple risk is bigger than potential reward situation.
