Diggs Really Should Have Played

Diggs Really Should Have Played
Wouldn't have made any difference. He hasn't been a difference making in a very long time. At this point he is just a progress stopper. Lets the kids play. Maybe one of them will have a light bulb moment and become a good starter. Can't do that standing on the sideline.

So, why didn't Diggs play?

Could he have helped tonight.

Defense still gave up 34 points.

That's a whole lot. We're still 5 players away, at least, on defense.

They should have squashed whatever the beef was. And Diggs should have played.

Egos got in the way on this one, and Jerral should have been the bigger man because what was best for the team was Diggs playing....
Diggs is never going to suit up again for the Cowboys. JJ is going to trade this dude, who doesn't even want to be here. After his long discussions with Parsons, his mind has been poisoned by that negative conversation.

If a coaching staff that thinks Murray is playing great does not want to play a certain player (especially one who has a history of laziness and being soft and undisciplined) then that should tell you something

What this team needs the most: edge rusher, safety, and two LBs.

We also need depth and to move on from Hooker. Wilson could still play if he had the right role. But he doesn't work in Eberflus' silly scheme.

I think Fluff is partly why Little Michael departed. He wouldn't get as many sacks in his "system."
I don't think we can afford to move on from both safeties, but I'd keep Hooker over Wilson right now. This Eberdoof scheme isn't helping either out.

Don't forget we need another outside CB unless you want to keep riding with Seatbelt, Bland and Revel (plust Bridges and Ready)? This defense has more holes to fill than Wilt Chamberlain, bruh.

I think this is an astute, excellent point. Pay attention people. This gentleman is on to something here.

Please continue.

They need to bring in a proven commodity at CB. Enough drafting them. They should draft LB, safety early on and also get an edge. It's a deep defensive draft. I'd be cool with 3 LBs.

I think they end up with 8 picks total.

You very well could be right. But a lot of times even those decisions are arbitrary. Unless you think they have zero influence from Jerry. Why does Jerry hire them in the first place? Good Dr.s? Sure. But they're also corruptable when it comes down down to making borderline calls when you're in a pinch.
Maybe. No-Schott's previous comments would seem to indicate there's more than health that's an issue. I think, though, that since this summer when they fined Diggs, Jerry has mostly had good things to say about him. I could be not remembering him, but other than comments about his health, he hasn't really seemed down on him. Even these comments were more just matter of fact about him not being healthy enough rather than Diggs not doing enough to get himself ready, etc.

It's probably more cost effective to pay for the LBs in FA, and draft a game changer at DE or CB or possible both. The Cowboys are going to need to perfect draft plus a robust FA to complete the rebuild. I hope we maximize these picks.

Logan Wilson isn't as great as Murray in pass defense. Murray was covering Devonta Smith more than a few times vs. Philadelphia in that first matchup. Imagine that...a linebacker on the #2 WR for Philly. Wilson can't and isn't asked to do that.

Most of the people going on an on about Murray have no clue. If you are NOT breaking down game film then you simply don't know what you are talking about. A lot of what was going on vs. the Vikings were linebacker gap exchanges. So most of the time Murray was in the proper gap. His PFF grade was decent and it's probably because of people who can actually breakdown game film being involved in the grading.

And if you don't like the linebacker gap exchanges then you need to talk with Eberflus about it. Most of what this defense is and ISN'T traces back to him.

He is not playing because Jerry doesn’t trust him, has nothing to do with will he help the defense. If Treyvon fakes an injury then Dallas can’t cut him or trade him until they can reach injury settlement plus still owe him money in his contract.

This has gone to Hades in a hand basket.

This is correct. EberFluffer was sending Murray to the wrong gaps.

Can you imagine Jeff Lurie or for goodness sakes any NFL owner the Ford Woman answering these types of questions . It’s absurd .

I remember years ago in baseball Ted Turner was sick of losing so he said he would put the uniform on sit in the dugout and make decisions for his Atlanta Braves . The commissioner of baseball said you will do no such thing .

Why can’t it be passed in NFL bylaws that in the interest and integrity of the league an owner cannot double as GM / Owner or coach . I am sick of Jerry pulling these stunts .

Look at the idiocy of the Irsay daughter on the sideline taking notes . For goodness sakes take notes in a suite with popcorn and a Pabst blue ribbon
