Just like everything in life, marriage comes with a contract.
I told my wife 25 yrs ago when I proposed to her, that she was marrying a die hard Cowboys fan, and that there would be times, often times, where I put the Cowboys first and foremost, above all other priorities.
You could have saved yourself a lot of grief, if you made the same initial agreement.
But even if you didn't, hell no you don't miss this game for dinner with the Smiths... just invite them over if you have to, and cook a feast.

All events are scheduled around the Cowboy games in my household.

I'm watching in the UK therefore with kick off being 1.15am luckily I don't have that dilemma :)
