After the Cowboys were eliminated, I wanted to see the Cards take it all. The oldest team in the NFL, and would have been funny to see a former NFC East team get a Lombardi before the Giggles. Cheering for Denver now.

Clearly Palmer's finger was worse than he and the team led on. What I don't understand is why Arians didn't pull him. Because they had no chance of winning with him in there.

Think you're disappointed? Now I'm listening to local radio guys question whether the Panthers are the GOAT. Good grief.

I would have rather seen a more competitive NFC Championship. Carson Palmer played like crap.

Carson Palmer did play like crap, but he wasn't the only Cardinal to do so. I thought Peterson's fumbled punt return was huge. They had scored to get within 10, stopped Carolina, and would have had great field position to make it a 3 or 7 point game. Instead, they give it back and immediately go down by 17 again. A lot of players played poorly, especially their best players.

Palmer stunk against the Packers as well. I didn't see him playing well against the Panthers after his poor performance against GB.

You're right. They were lucky to get a win against Green Bay. They also gave up that Hail Mary that sent it to OT.

And you guys are right -- the team played poorly, not just Palmer.

This was my take on it as well. Analysts had Palmer bouncing back cause of his first playoff win. I don't really understand why, he wasn't very good vs the pack and struggled despite winning. It's like people thought the packers defense was better then the panthers or something.

I think he is just not that good of a clutch QB. He looked just fine the first time against GB after the injury.

13 years, decent teams, pro bowls, former first round pick.....one playoff win. Tony Romo has been criticized for much less.

Cards offense didn't show up so the defense went out looking for them.
Team loss.

yeah they played like the cowboys, and arians did nothing to help with the rush on palmer like keep a rb and te in to block
those edge rushers. he didnt make any good adjustments.
They also passed too much.

Many of his plays against GB were awful reads, which had nothing to do with the fingers.

I'm only disappointed cause I don't want Carolina winning anything. Otherwise I really couldn't care any less what Arizona does.

The only hope I had for him is that the scouts are talking about GB having the best D-Line in football now. I don't think Carolina has the best D-Line, so I was thinking he might be able to do something...but Carolina showed they have a much better all-around defense.

Pick-six Carson Palmer could never win. He would always choke. I got so tired of him losing to the Stealers for years. Now he is old and over-the-hill.

After watching the Cowboys this year, I can see how bad QB play can have a domino effect. The Cards were supposed to have a stellar defense but that even went to crap after Carson started to imitate Weeden and Cassel. Kellen Moore would have been an upgrade to Carson Palmer the last 1/4 of the season.

Seems like the Cardinals have their wagon hitched to two aging, high-priced vets who are quickly sliding downhill, Palmer and Fitzgerald. Arians has his work cut out for him.
