Yeah, they should have moved back to day 1 being three rounds if they wantedd to go into primetime.

My favorite two players in last year's draft were 4th and 5th rounders -- OS and TC. Those mid rounds are much more exciting than the top rounds because you can usually have some of your personally higher rated guys fall a bit and can root for your team to pick them up. I was more excited when we got TC in the 4th last year than probably any pick in recent history.

you got pretty excited when we selected Doug Free, you PM'd me screaming and hollering about it

Mick Mayock said this is the worst draft in recent memory. I'm not shedding any tears that we don't have a first rounder.

And what all has he done. This team needs to learn how to evaluate O-lineman. I think 2009 would be a good year to start.

What's he supposed to do playing behind Flozell? Hell, even if he was outplaying Flozell in practice, he wouldn't see playing time.

is it not a good thing that we don't have to spend first round money in it then?

And for the first round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in the 2009 draft ---Dallas picks Roy Williams Wide reciever from Texas by way of Detroit

Feel better:)

I dunno. I heard he's coming off a foot injury, plus he'll be a 27 year old rookie.

I could really care less we don't have a 1st. Maybe it's because I've just become so used to looking at 2nd round prospects, but I don't mind not having a 1st. I'll still be there gavel to gavel love the draft.
:starspin
If you could pick a year not to have a first round pick... this is it.

That might change this yr though. I think they gave Adams the benefit of the doubt for a couple of reasons last yr (injury, cost, experience) but if he plays poorly this yr in TC, preseason or to start off the yr, I could see them making a change. That is of course if Free (or possibly a draft pick from this weekend) performs well enough to warrant the move.

Look on the bright side. Having no pick is certainly better than drafting a Bobby Carpenter.

I don't mind not having a first round pick - it's the late start that sucks.
