Disturbing trends for the (maybe) playoffs

Our top 5 defense and NFL leading rusher is why we’re a good team on the verge of winning division and making the playoffs.

If we had a top 10 QB we could be a great team. But we don’t so this is who we are.

Our average QB helped us win a few games.

We had a top 10 QB with a bottom tier defense and except one season not a top running game and didn’t have much better results .

Dallas is 4-1 against the NFC East, 4-5 outside the division, and 1-3 against the AFC South.

Dallas is 1-4 against teams with winning records and 4-1 against teams with losing records. They are 3-1 against teams that are .500 (Philly and Washington).

Dallas has failed to score more than 2 touchdowns in 11 games.

Dallas has scored touchdowns in 1 quarter of the past 11.

Dallas has scored touchdowns in only 22 of the 56 quarters this season.

All this despite having the leading rusher in the NFL and one of the top defenses.

Never have I seen a team that runs the ball so well, and scores so little.
You guys keep failing to recognize that the playoffs are played within the division.
Dallas was 1-1 vs winning records in the NFC. Lost to Seattle. Defeated the best team in the NFC when they were playing their best. As for the East, both of those teams have winning records except for the Cowboys beating them. We have as good a chance in the playoffs as anyone in the NFC.

We’re just not a very entertaining team to watch anymore offensively. Not like we used to be anyway.

We have transformed into a ground it out running game and stout defense that isn’t as popular in today’s NFL. Especially with all of the prolific QB’s and passing games in today’s NFL.

Jerry’s not giving up on Dak so it’s pointless to call for a change while we can continue complaining all the way to the bank.

Personally after beginning 3-5 I’m content with still being in it and having at least one playoff game. Not a bad run and Dak made some contribution to it despite his weakness.

We’ll get a new OC next year Shore up the OL and hopefully add a couple pieces and try to get off to a better start next year.

This is the Dak era as we extend his contract. Buckle up.

Nope, they're terrible. Ask the Forever Dak crowd.
Guess it could be good/bad at run blocking and good/bad as pass blocking. Dark needs to play better for sure. Just wish Zeke could take some to the house like Cooper does.

Olawale is an NFL player. National Football League. The level where only the elite of the elite even get a chance to make it onto a roster.

At that level, even your backup fullbacks should be catching the ball better than wide receivers on high school teams.

I guess it depends on where we expected to go. We’re going to the playoffs . That’s not bad for as you say” bad really bad QB play”.

It was much worse until our 5 game winning streak. But he played well enough to win those?

Disturbing trends eh? Man anyone who knows the team and it's flaws knows how this season will end. It'll depend on the matchup how this thing ends.

Any season that ends in the playoffs is a good one with this dysfunctional organization. Lol

so in other words , he should have caught it. You are making excuses for the fullback. Didn't Dak have to throw it over a DE? hence the soft pass
There is NO EXCUSE not to have caught that pass. People have agendas, plain and simple.

People were high on the offense and thinking it was so much better since Cooper got here, but it really wasn't much better (except a handful of big plays).

Scoring in the first 3 quarters since Cooper trade:

Ten - 14
Phi - 13
Atl - 6
Wash - 24 (this was 10 until fairly late in the 3rd when Cooper had his two breakaways)
NO - 13
Phi - 9
Indy - 0

That's an average of 11.3 points per game through 3 quarters of play. Some 4th quarters have been good, but that too has been a mixed bag, and they have scored 0 points in the 4th in 3 of those games (finishing with 14, 13, and 0 pts for the game).

In the games prior to Cooper arriving, they averaged 12.7 ppg through 3 quarters of play (bolstered by 30 against Jax). They averaged the same exact number of points in the 4th quarter (7.3) after getting Cooper as they did before getting Cooper.

Dakhards put up all the stats comparing him to other qb's and how much better he is with cooper

We still cant put up points

Well, he could have caught it but it was under thrown. It would have been a better catch than throw.

Bottom 10 offense in the NFL and we’re gonna have the rushing champ. Maybe our passing game sucks? Just get Dak the f outta here already. He sucks.

Linehan.

Dak is on his rookie contract and costs nothing. Even if we upgrade, there's no sense in cutting him.
