I find it strange that people talk about certain divisions being better than others without analyzing the facts more deeply.
One thing they dont seem to take into account is that if you have one team that performs extremely well against all of its division opponents (like say, the saints) it stacks two losses against all of your division rivals (except carolina.) If we had split with these teams, as dallas has done in the nfc east the records of the teams in the south would be pretty close to those in the nfc east.
Also, i think the nfc is underrated. I look at a few afc divisions and i really dont see where they have a tougher schedule than teams over here do. The chargers schedule was way easier than the cowboys or the saints.
Am i just being a homer, or do i have a point?
