I was thinking about Deshawn Watson's masseuse "problems" and it accrued to me that the perfect place for him to go is New England.
They need a QB badly, they can afford his contract, they're on a spending rebuild spree, they can give up a decent first rd pick plus what ever else is needed, and Bob Kraft knows all about these massage parlor issues so he can relate and think it will be fine to sign him.

LOL! just messing around, I'm sure this will get moved but who cares!

it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this all a ploy by Watson to force his release. He will get released, settle the suits, sit out 4-6 games due to being suspended and sign with a new team all the while collecting a healthy paycheck from the Texans.

Maybe its a ploy by the team to soften him into staying.

Doubtful either way.

Sorry ya'll I feel stupid LOL! I was just listening to the radio talk about the possibility of DJackson to the Rams and got my signals crossed.

I agree its all doubtful but man the timing is very suspicious. Watson has been a model citizen in Houston since he got here and now during a contract dispute all this is coming out but nothing but puppy dogs and sunshine the first 4 years... something is fishy.

We'd need to clear cap space to fit him in after our free agency spending spree...

And after RKKs spa adventure a few years ago, I'm not sure Watson would be a good fit at the current time...

If it were me though, id try to make it work... Be worth it to have a decent qb under center again

You wouldn't have to clear crap. Watson would be a 10 million dollar cap hit for 2021 to any team that trades for him.

I don't know how the NFL does it, but usually you don't get paid when you're suspended. Watson may also be looking at a much bigger suspension than 4-6 weeks.

his salary is 10.5m which the trading team has to pick up ... OTC showing we have 11.9m in cap space.... we would need to clear cap space... not saying it would be difficult to do so, but there are still things the team needs to do, such as working out an extension for stephon gilmore, sign the rookie draft class etc... then there is potential cap ramifications to deal with if the potential trade is for players and picks as opposed to all picks...

I would bring in watson, regardless of the current accusations, its a no brainer... would he accept NE as a destination? He has not listed it as a preferred destination in his trade demands...
