It will take more than two 1st to move up that far. IMO it's not worth it. If all we needed was a rb then yeah do it but we already have Barber. We need cb's more than a luxury rb.
Not if he falls a little.

If they traded up with both #1s, they would have to use the late 2nd rounder on a cornerback and possibly even trading up in the second to secure one.

Are you prepared to let MBIII walk? Or TNew, or Ware? Because you'll have to show me how paying DMac 25-30 million up front and MBIII 15 million up front won't cost us a big time player over the next couple years.

Those who want DMAC are very ignorant of the larger picture. Your shortsighted viewpoint has hindered your ability to see how it not only prevents us from acquiring greater positions of need, but would be a cap nightmare in future years. Keeping Ware, Newman, TO, and adding young depth are more important.

jordan rule of drafting don;t draft for need draft the best talent!!!

whoever the best player is you draft.. if you end up with two great QBs then you can always trade.

That is the most important point. OK, fine people like DMAC, but choose who you want playing for the Eagles- Ware or Newman.

On occasion, you can get both, but your point is well taken. I can't see the
Cowboys getting the best value out of taking one of several very good backs and sacrificing another pick which could be used on a pretty good crop of Wr's or CB's. In addition to this is the reality of the cost involved in signing a top five rookie. Several scouts have come out in the media stating that the best value is the mid teens to late 20's as the talent level is close to the players in the top ten with considerably lower cost. Frankly, the Cowboys are better off drafting where they are than in the top five. The Dolphins will find few suitors willing to trade up, as the cost is simply too high.

You draft BPA only to a certain extent. Drafting a player at a position that they have no chance of starting or playing at all is as equally dumb as drafting for need only.
