Ahh, the Internet. After Colin Kaepernick threw an interception on the final drive in the San Francisco 49ers loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, fans immediately compared him to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

But that’s not all. Several fans took shots at Romo after Tom Brady and the New England Patriots lost to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos (utilizing a photo of Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen.

Some highlights and lowlights of the Instagram responses: (click here if you’re on a mobile app)

Same ol' same ol'. Doesn't bother me anymore. After Kaepernick threw that game ending pick, I was already thinking about Romo.

Not sure if I've ever wanted to see someone win a championship more than Romo.

I would love to see romo win a championship also but it will not be with the cowboys. we are light years away from being a superbowl contender in the near future in my opinion.

Me as well.
I do not want Romo being the next Danny White of this team.
One of the biggest travesties of this franchise is Danny White retiring without a ring.
Dont want Romo going out that way.

White did get a ring as the backup QB/punter, but I get what you're saying. He got ripped off in the 1981 NFC Championship. The team was driving for the winning score when he was hit as he threw and incomplete pass that was incorrectly ruled a fumble and sealed the game for the CommieNiners. Now every year we have to see replays of that annoying luckout "the catch" that happened when Montana was trying to throw the ball out of the end zone, but lacked the arm strength to do so.

Actually I think Montana threw it that high figuring Taylor would either make a miracle catch or it would go out of bounds. It had nothing to do with arm strength.

I have already seen Romo get mistakenly blamed for Orton's late pick.
It will never go away.
He could win a Super Bowl and some will continue to dog him.

Ignorance

lol I've heard Romo get blamed, several times, for the lack of playoff wins before he was even in the NFL. Beat that!

I like photos of Brady's wife.
She's gorgeous. Doesn't mean I'm reading whatever is attached to the photo though...

On point: The Cowboys will always be the center of attention in the NFL like the Lakers are in the NBA.
Wining seasons, losing seasons...
It matters not. It's always news.
They are the money-makers. They will get the attention.
What does Hollywood say? Good publicity, bad publicity- it's PUBLICITY that matters either way.

Se la vie.

I laugh when people talk about guys like Richard Sherman for talking bad about Crabtree after a heated game, yet fans, including us, are 10,000 times more vile and worse than anything these players do. We are so two-faced sometimes. I don't like Romo, but I don't see the need to yap about him when he has nothing to do with anything that happened this weekend, and taking shots at his wife is pretty low.
